Army Pay Department, and Territorial Force, and the reposting of officers from the N.Z. Expeditionary Force to the Territorial Force :

APPOINTMENTS.

Lieut.-Colonel (temp. Colonel) Harry Rowland Potter, C.M.G., N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Camp Commandant, Trentham, and is appointed to command the Auckland Military District (temp.), vice Colonel G. W. S. Patterson (deceased), with effect from 6th January, 1919.

Colonel (temp.) Clarence Reginald Macdonald, C.M.G., Imperial General Staff, relinquishes the appointment of Director of Infantry Training, N.Z.E.F. Reinforcements. Dated 25th November, 1918.

Captain (temp. Major) George Frederick Hutton, D.S.O. (Royal Welsh Fusiliers), relinquishes the appointment of Chief Instructor, Mounted Rifles, Featherston Camp, and the temporary rank of Major whilst so employed. Dated 2nd January, 1919.

Captain (temp. Major) Henry Alexander Cooper, Imperial General Staff, relinquishes the appointment of General Staff Officer, Otago Military District, and retains the temporary rank of Major until further notice. Dated 9th January, 1919.

Captain (temp. Major) Francis Henry Lampen, D.S.O., N.Z. Staff Corps, relinquishes his appointment on the Instructional Staff, N.Z.E.F. training-camps, and is appointed General Staff Officer, Otago Military District (temp.). Dated 9th January, 1919.

Captain J. R. Rooper, Reserve of Officers, Territorial Force, England, relinquishes the appointment of Assistant Embarkation Officer. Dated 12th November, 1918.

Major Kenneth Macfarlane Gresson, 1st (Canterbury) Regiment (Reserve of Officers), relinquishes the appointment of Military Representative to a Military Service Board. Dated 8th January, 1919.

Captain James Garfield Crawford, M.C., M.B., N.Z. Medical Corps, is appointed Medical Officer in Charge of the Invercargill Soldiers’ Convalescent Home, and is granted the temporary rank of Major whilst so employed. Dated 1st December, 1918.

Honorary Lieutenant (temp.) Gilbert Buchanan Stevenson, N.Z. Permanent Staff, relinquishes the appointment of Musketry Instructor in N.Z.E.F. training-camps, and is appointed District Musketry Instructor, Otago Military District. Dated 7th January, 1919.

Staff Sergeant-Major Thomas Charles Evans, N.Z. Permanent Staff, is appointed District Musketry Instructor, Canterbury Military District, and is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant whilst so employed. Dated 27th January, 1919.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) Stirling Edward Keith Marshall, Unattached List (b), General List, relinquishes the appointment of Assistant Quartermaster, Featherston Camp, and the temporary rank of Captain whilst so employed. Dated 18th January, 1919.

Captain (temp.) Arthur George Pilkington, Unattached List (b), General List, relinquishes the appointment of Military Representative to a Military Service Board, and the temporary rank of Captain whilst so employed. Dated 8th January, 1919.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) James Marsden Caughey, N.Z. Forces Motor Service Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Railway Transport Officer, Auckland Military District, and the temporary rank of Captain whilst so employed. Dated 30th December, 1918.

The undermentioned officers of the N.Z. Medical Corps are appointed members of a Special District Medical Board, with the pay of Lieut.-Colonel at Expeditionary Force rates whilst so acting :

Captain (temp.) Robert Allan Cameron, M.B. Dated 16th October, 1918.

2nd Lieutenant Harold Vernon Tregear, 4th (Otago) Regiment, relinquishes the appointment of Area Officer (temp.), Otautau. Dated 31st December, 1918.

2nd Lieutenant (temp.) John Reid relinquishes the appointment of Officer in Charge Transport, Trentham Camp, and the temporary rank of 2nd Lieutenant whilst so employed. Dated 12th February, 1919.

William Hugh Montgomery, Esquire, is appointed Officer in Charge Educational and Vocational Training, N.Z. Military Forces. Dated 11th December, 1918.
