THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section five of the Judicature Amendment Act, 1913, it is enacted that the Court of Appeal shall consist of two Divisions, to be called respectively the First Division and the Second Division of the Court of Appeal; and that each Division shall consist of five Judges of the Supreme Court, to be appointed to that Division by the Governor-General in Council;
And whereas the power conferred by the said Act upon the Governor-General in Council of appointing Judges as members of either Division, or of revoking any such appointment, shall be exercisable on the recommendation of not less than three Judges of the Supreme Court (of whom the Chief Justice shall be one), and not otherwise :
And whereas the Honourable the Chief Justice, the Honourable Mr. Justice Cooper, the Honourable Mr. Justice Chapman, and the Honourable Mr. Justice Sim have recommended that the two Divisions of the Court of Appeal shall be constituted as shown hereafter:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

Certain Lands reclaimed from the Sea included in Borough of Birkenhead.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS a petition, publicly notified, has been presented to me under section one hundred and nineteen of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, by the Council of the Borough of Birkenhead, praying me to alter the boundaries of the Borough of Birkenhead so as to include therein the piece of land described in the Schedule hereto, being land reclaimed from the sea adjacent to the said borough:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the said borough are hereby altered so as to include within the limits of the said borough the land described in the said Schedule hereto, being land reclaimed from the sea adjacent to the said borough.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 7 acres 1 rood 32 perches, more or less, being a reclamation from the Waitemata Harbour, adjacent to the Borough of Birkenhead, commencing at high-water mark on the shore of Waitemata Harbour at a point 340 links in a north-westerly direction from the north-east corner of Section 165, Parish of Takapuna, in the said borough. Bounded towards the east by the Waitemata Harbour ; thence towards the north-east and south-west generally by the Borough of Birkenhead, as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1916, page 1795, to the place of commencement.

WHEREAS by section twenty-one of the Land Act, 1908, as amended by section three of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1914, certain land districts are constituted, and it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time, as he thinks fit, constitute and define the boundaries of any additional land district or districts, abolish any land district, or alter the boundaries of any land district:
And whereas it is desirable to abolish the present Auckland Land District, and to constitute in lieu thereof two new land districts as hereinafter provided:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Acts, do hereby order and declare that on the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, the present Auckland Land District shall be abolished; and, with the like advice and consent as aforesaid, I do hereby constitute as on and from the said first day of April, one
