HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, and transfers of the undermentioned officers on active service with the N.Z. Expeditionary Force (vide List No. 63 of the 31st March, 1918, N.Z.E.F. Orders).

AUCKLAND MOUNTED RIFLES.

Captain (Hon. Major) H. W. Smith to be Major, with seniority, from the 12th November, 1917, next before Major G. S. Cheesman, under provisions of N.Z.E.F. Regulation 36, to date from 14th February, 1918, and is seconded whilst attached for duty to the Australian Remount Depot, Moascar. Dated 14th February, 1918.

CANTERBURY MOUNTED RIFLES.

Captain T. C. Jebson relinquishes the appointment of Quartermaster, to be 2nd in Command of a squadron. Dated 6th February, 1918.

2nd Lieutenant A. R. Manchester to be Quartermaster. Dated 6th February, 1918.

Major P. M. Acton-Adams, D.S.O., is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. Dated 22nd February, 1918.
