Settlement Land set apart for Disposal by Way of Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the Wellington Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of settlement land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers, under special tenures, in the manner provided in the said Act.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—SETTLEMENT LAND.—WOULFE SETTLEMENT.
SECTION 41, Block IX, Mangaone Survey District: Area, 99 acres 3 roods 16 perches.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-second day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

Resuming Land for a Site for a Sanatorium for Consumptive Soldiers in Hatuma Settlement, Hawke’s Bay Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and forty-four of the Land Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is, inter alia, enacted that the Governor-General in Council may, by Proclamation, resume possession of any land leased under Part III of the said Act, or under any corresponding Part of the Land Act, 1892, which in his opinion is required for any public purpose:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is held under lease in perpetuity from His Majesty the King issued under Part III of the Land Act, 1892, and the Land for Settlements Consolidation Act, 1900, dated the seventeenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and one:
And whereas in the opinion of the Governor-General the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required for a public purpose—that is to say, for a site for a sanatorium for consumptive soldiers:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section one hundred and forty-four of the Land Act, 1908, and section sixty-seven of the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby proclaim and declare that I hereby resume possession of the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto for the public purpose hereinbefore mentioned, the same being land held under lease in perpetuity as aforesaid.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 326 acres 1 rood, more or less, being Section No. 1, Block XIII, Waipukurau Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west and towards the north-east generally by the Tukituki River; towards the south-east by Section 5, Block XIV, Waipukurau Survey District; and towards the south-west generally by a public road. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 26/1/56, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. As the same is shown in the Registry-book of the Hawke’s Bay Registration District, Volume 4L, folio 198.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section three of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart for selection by discharged soldiers, under the Land Act, 1908.
