Land taken for the Purposes of a Quarry in Block XII,
Patetere North Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under the Public Works
Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the purposes
of a quarry in Block XII, Patetere North Survey District :
And whereas an agreement has been entered into, in
terms of section twenty-seven of the said Act, to take such
land for the public work hereinafter set forth :
And whereas a plan has been prepared, and the Minister
has recommended the Governor-General to issue a Procla-
mation taking the land as required by the said Act :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl
of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and autho-
rities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of
every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in
this behalf, and being satisfied of the sufficiency of the
agreement hereinbefore referred to, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto
is hereby taken for quarry purposes, and shall vest in His
Majesty the King as from the date hereinafter mentioned ;
and I also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take
effect on and after the twenty-ninth day of June, one
thousand nine hundred and eighteen.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 1 acre 1 rood
13 perches.
Portion of Lot 1 of Section 105, Block XII, Patetere North
Survey District. (S.O. 19312.)
In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 43463,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works
at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured pink.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act,
1908, for the purposes of a quarry in Block X, Heretaunga
Survey District, Hawke's Bay County :
And whereas the Hastings Borough Council has laid before
the Governor-General a memorial, accompanied by a map
in duplicate, and also the statutory declaration, as required
by the said Act :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and autho-
rities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the
Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and of every other power
and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the
Schedule hereto is hereby taken for quarry purposes ; and
shall vest in the Corporation of the Mayor, Councillors, and
Burgesses of the Borough of Hastings as from the date
hereinafter mentioned ; and I do also declare that this Pro-
clamation shall take effect on and after the eleventh day
of July, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 10 acres.
Portion of Lot 5, Subdivision A, Heretaunga Block, and
closed road, Section 1, Block X, Heretaunga Survey Dis-
trict (Hawke's Bay R.D.).
In the Hawke's Bay Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 44287,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works
at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured pink.

District, Manukau County.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William
de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents
of the owners and mortgagees of the land described in the
First Schedule hereto, and of the Wairoa Road Board,
being the local authority in whose district the said land is
situated, proclaim as a road the land in Wairoa and
Otahuhu Survey Districts described in the First Schedule
hereto ; and also do hereby, with the like consents as afore-
said, proclaim as closed the road described in the Second
Schedule hereto, which is not required by reason of the
road described in the First Schedule hereto.
