Notice as to Men called up under the Military Service Act, 1916, for Service with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force.

WHEREAS the men referred to in the Schedule hereto were duly selected by lot under the Military Service Act, 1916, from the First Division of the Expeditionary Force Reserve for service with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, but were not called up for such service by reason of the fact that they were included in a list of men supposed to be already members of the Expeditionary Force or to be dead: And whereas it has been ascertained that those men were included in error in the aforesaid list, and should have been called up for service with the Expeditionary Force pursuant to the said Act:

Now, therefore, in pursuance of the provisions of section 10 of the said Act, I, James Allen, the Minister of Defence for the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the men referred to in the Schedule hereto are called up for service with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force.

Dated this 19th day of June, 1918.

Correcting Errors in Notices dated 12th January, 1917, 8th May, 1917, 4th July, 1917, 15th January, 1918, 19th February, 1918, 25th April, 1918, and 21st May, 1918, as to Men called up with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force.

WHEREAS by subsection (3) of section 10 of the Military Service Act, 1916, it is enacted that the Minister of Defence may from time to time, by notice in the Gazette, correct any error in the gazetted list of men called up under that Act for service with the Expeditionary Force: And whereas such errors have occurred in the notices as to men called up for service as aforesaid, published in the Gazettes of the 12th day of January, 1917, the 8th day of May, 1917, the 4th day of July, 1917, the 15th day of January, 1918, the 19th day of February, 1918, the 25th day of April, 1918, and the 21st day of May, 1918, respectively:

Now, therefore, I, James Allen, the Minister of Defence for the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power conferred on me by subsection (3) of section 10 of the Military Service Act, 1916, do hereby amend the gazetted lists hereinbefore referred to in the manner set forth in the Schedule hereto.
