Declaring a certain Area added to the County of Wairoa to be included in Waikaremoana Riding thereof.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the twenty-eighth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, and published in a Supplement to the New Zealand Gazette of the same date, the boundaries of the Counties of Whakatane and Wairoa were altered by the exclusion of a certain area from the County of Whakatane and the inclusion of such area in the County of Wairoa :
And whereas it is desirable that the area so added to the County of Wairoa should be included in the Waikaremoana Riding of that county :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section twenty-two of the Counties Act, 1908, do hereby declare that the area included as aforesaid in the County of Wairoa shall as on and from the first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, be included in the Waikaremoana Riding of the said county, and that the boundaries of that riding shall be those set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
WAIKAREMOANA RIDING, WAIROA COUNTY.
ALL that area in the Wairoa County commencing at the intersection of the southern boundary of Whakatane County with the eastern boundary of East Taupo County. Bounded towards the north-west by the Whakatane County from that intersection to Waikohu County; thence towards the north-east generally by the Waikohu County and Cook County to the Mangapoike River; thence towards the south-east generally by that river to its confluence with the Makaretu Stream; thence by that stream to the road at the north-western corner of Tutuotekaha No. 2 Block, by that road to the eastern boundary of Section 31A, Block X, Opotiki Survey District; thence by the said eastern boundary to the southernmost corner of the said Section 31A; thence by a right line to the source of the Kauhoura Stream; thence by that stream to its confluence with the Wairoa River, and by the centre of that river to a point in line with the south-western boundary of the Wairoa Borough; thence to and by that boundary to the Wairoa River, and by that river to the sea; thence by the sea to the mouth of the Waihua River; thence towards the south-west generally by that river to the 39th parallel of south latitude; thence by the 39th parallel to the Mohaka River at the mouth of the Arakanihi Stream; thence by the Mohaka River to its confluence with the Te Hoe River; thence towards the west generally by the eastern boundary of East Taupo County to the southern boundary of Whakatane County, the place of commencement.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.
