Hill Mining Company (Limited), do solemnly and sincerely
declare that this is a true and complete statement of the
affairs of the said company on the 31st December, 1917;
and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing
the same to be true, and by virtue of the Justices of the
Peace Act, 1908.

WINDLE'S AUCTIONEERING COMPANY (LIMITED).
IN LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that at a general meeting of
the shareholders held at the registered office of the
company, Guyton Street, Wanganui, on Saturday, 22nd
December, 1917, the following special resolution was carried,
and confirmed at a subsequent general meeting held on
Thursday, 17th January, 1918, at the same place, namely:
"That the company go into voluntary liquidation."
And notice is hereby also given that THOMAS BALLINGALL,
Public Accountant, of Wanganui, has been duly appointed
Liquidator of the said company.

TE AROHA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING A SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Te
Aroha Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in re-
spect of principal and interest and also the other charges on
a loan of £525, authorized to be raised by the Te Aroha Borough
Council, under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, for the
purpose of constructing an underground sewer-drain for the
efficient sanitary drainage of property within the area here-
after described, the said Te Aroha Borough Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of tenpence halfpenny in the
pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the
special-rating area, comprising all that piece of land lying to
the west of the Borough of Te Aroha, being the whole of the
Te Aroha Borough Endowment, and Section 65, Block IX, all
of Te Aroha Township; and that such special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and
be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The foregoing resolution was duly proposed, seconded, and
carried at a special meeting of the Te Aroha Borough Council
held on Wednesday, the 16th day of January, 1918.

STRATFORD COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING A SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Strat-
ford County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £1,200, authorized to be raised by the
Stratford County Council, under the above-mentioned Act,
for defraying the cost of forming and metalling the Waihapa
Road from the end of the present metal to the Wingrove
Road, the said Stratford County Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of one penny in the pound upon the
rateable value of all rateable property of the Waihapa Road
£1,200 Loan Special-rating District, comprising Subs. 4, 5,
7, and Sub. 1 of Sub. 6 of Subdivision 3, Pukengahu Block,
and parts of Subdivision 2 (328 acors 2 roods 35 perches and
250 acres, adjoining the Waihapa Road), Pukengahu Block,
Blocks III, IV, VII, and VIII, Ngaire Survey District ; and
that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first
day of February in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.
I, Charles Penn, of Stratford, Clerk to the Stratford County
Council, hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a
resolution passed at a properly constituted meeting of the
Council held on Saturday, the 15th day of December, 1917.

HIKURANGI TOWN BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE FOR ADDITIONAL LOAN
OF £4,000 FOR COMPLETING STREET AND BRIDGE WORKS.
WHEREAS the Hikurangi Town Board lately took steps
to raise a loan of £4,000 for the purpose of metalling,
channelling, and kerbing streets and footpaths, including the
construction of a traffic-bridge in reinforced concrete over the
Mangawhero Stream in King Street, Hikurangi Town Dis-
trict:
And whereas the said loan of £4,000 has been entirely and
exclusively expended on the said work, and has been found
insufficient to complete the same :
Now, therefore, the Hikurangi Town Board, in pursuance
and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by
section 18 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, hereby resolves
as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in
respect of principal and interest and also the other charges
on a loan of £400 (being 10 per cent. on the original loan of
£4,000), authorized to be raised by the Hikurangi Town
Board, under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, for the
purpose of completing street metalling, channelling, kerbing
streets and footpaths, and construction of a traffic-bridge
in concrete over the Mangawhero Stream, in Hikurangi, the
said Hikurangi Town Board hereby makes and levies a special
rate of one-fifth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable
value of all rateable property of the Hikurangi Town Dis-
trict, comprising the whole of the Hikurangi Town District ;
and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring
rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly
on the first day of September in each and every year during
the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or
until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of and ex-
tract from the minutes of the proceedings of the Hikurangi
Town Board as passed at a meeting of the said Town Board
at Hikurangi on the 4th day of December, 1917.
