WAIRARAPA SAWMILLERS' CO-OPERATIVE ASSOCIATION (LIMITED), IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 230 of the Companies Act, 1908, that a general meeting of the members of the above-named company will be held at my office, Perry Street, Masterton, on Thursday, the 31st day of January, 1918, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

MANGONUI COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Mangonui County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,500, authorized to be raised by the Mangonui County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, to form main street and footpaths in Kaitaia Township by forming the road, and footpaths on both sides thereof, from the Courthouse Road to 1½ chains past the junction of the Herekino-Kaitaia Road, and to form road and footpath from there to Waikuku Bridge (footpath on right-hand side), the said Mangonui County Council makes and levies a special rate of 3d. and 1/16th of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the special rating area, comprising portion of the Kaitaia Riding of the Mangonui County, being Sections 17 (hospital site), 65 (domain reserve), part 60, 25, 26, part 29, part 30, part 27, part 21, 15, 16, 1, 2, 3, 4, part 5, part 6, part 10, part 11, 12, 13, 14, 18, 19, 20, part 23, part Old Land Claim 214, part Old Land Claim 7, Agricultural Reserve, School Reserve (all Block V, Takahue Survey District); part Section 29, part 30, part 27, 28, 24, part 21, part 5, part 6, 7, 8, 9, part 10, part 11 (all Block VI, Takahue Survey District); part Puckey's Grant, Old Land Claim No. 214, Woodville, Kaitaia; part Old Land Claim No. 7 (all Block I, Takahue Survey District): comprising a total area of 1,410 acres.

Bounded on the south by other part Section 60 (Crown land), other parts Sections 29 and 30 (Block VI, Takahue Survey District); other part Section 30 (Block V, Takahue Survey District); on the east by the Kaitaia River, Tawhati Block, part Old Land Claim 242 (all Block VI, Takahue Survey District), part Old Land Claim 242, part Section 23, Section 2 of Allotment 23 (all Block V, Takahue Survey District); on the north by part Old Land Claim No. 214 (Block I, Takahue Survey District); on the west by part Old Land Claim No. 214, and part Old Land Claim No. 7 (Block I, Takahue Survey District), and part Old Land Claim No. 7 and Tongonge Kauri-gum Reserve (Block V, Takahue Survey District).

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above resolution is a true copy of and extract from the minutes of the proceedings of the Mangonui County Council as passed at a meeting of the said Council on the twenty-eighth day of November, 1917.
