ERRATUM.—In the notice appointing Legislative Councillors, published in New Zealand Gazette No. 68, of the 9th May, 1918, page 1775, for “The Hon. Archibald Hawke, of Invercargill,” read “The Hon. Archibald Fotheringham Hawke, of Invercargill.”

Amended Regulations under the Coal-mines Acts.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this thirteenth day of May, 1918.

Present :

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Coal-mines Act, 1908, and the Coal-mines Amendment Act, 1914 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act and its amendments”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following amendment to the regulations made under the said Act and its amendments on the twenty-sixth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the first day of July then instant; and doth hereby order that the amendment to the regulations hereby made shall be read as part of the said principal regulations, and shall come into force on the day of the gazetting hereof.

REGULATIONS.

REGULATION 134 (1) is amended as follows: At the end of the first paragraph thereof insert the following new paragraph,—
“During the period of the present war and for six months thereafter any explosive approved in writing by the Minister of Mines shall be deemed to be a ‘permitted explosive’ within the meaning and for the purposes of the said regulations.”

The provisions of paragraph (e) of regulation 129 shall not apply to any explosive so approved.

Land proclaimed as a Road in Blocks I and II, Aongatete Survey District, Tauranga County.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents of the owners, lessee, and mortgagee of the land described in the Schedule hereto, and of the Tauranga County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land in Aongatete Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land proclaimed as a road:—

Situated in Te Mania Parish, Aongatete Survey District. (S.O. 19947.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 43939, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this sixteenth day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.
