Group No. 8 at the Defence Office situate in Princes Street,
in the Town of Hawera, on the 31st day of May, 1918, at

The Military Service Act, 1916.—Order to Parade.


WHEREAS the persons whose names appear in the
Schedule hereto have been called up for service
in the New Zealand Expeditionary Force under and by
virtue of the provisions of the Military Service Act, 1916 :
And whereas by section 13 of the Military Service Act, 1916,
every man who has been called up for service under the said
Act may be required from time to time by the Commandant,
by notice in the Gazette, to report at any time and place, and
if he fails duly to present himself at the time and place noti-
fied he may be tried and punished under the Army Act for
the offence of desertion or of absenting himself without leave,
as the case may be :
