Fixing the Maximum Retail Price of Wheat.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this seventh day of May, 1918.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twenty-second day of December, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and made under the Regulation of Trade and Commerce Act, 1914, certain provisions were made as to the maximum price of wheat when sold wholesale: And whereas it is expedient to amend the said Order in Council by including therein provisions as to the maximum price of wheat when sold retail:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of that Dominion, and in pursuance of the authority conferred upon him by the Regulation of Trade and Commerce Act, 1914, doth hereby amend the said Order in Council of the twenty-second day of December, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, by adding thereto the clause contained in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

RETAIL SALES OF WHEAT INFERIOR TO GOOD MILLING-WHEAT.

  1. The maximum price of wheat inferior in quality to good milling-wheat when sold retail for delivery in any month by any person other than the grower shall be the same as the price lawfully payable for similar wheat when sold wholesale by millers, brokers, or other purchasers from the growers for delivery in the same month free on board
