ERRATUM.—In notice relating to meetings of Waikato-Maniapoto District Maori Land Board, published on page 932 of the New Zealand Gazette of 28th March, 1918, for “38th May” read “28th May.”

Land set apart for Selection.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section sixty-three of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913, it is, amongst other things, enacted that in no case shall any moneys be expended under the provisions of the said section sixty-three in connection with any block of land, unless that block is set apart for selection under that section pursuant to Proclamation in that behalf:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the purposes of the aforesaid Act, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land described in the Schedule hereto as set apart for selection.

SCHEDULE.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.
Whangaehu Extension No. I Block.
SECTIONS 2 and 3, Block III, and Section 2, Block IV, Tautane Survey District: Area, 1,627 acres 1 rood 10 perches.

As the same is delineated upon the plan marked L. and S. 5/91A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this eighth day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

Additional Land at Christchurch taken for the Purposes of the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway (Branch from Christchurch to Lyttelton).

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway (branch from Christchurch to Lyttelton) to take further land at Christchurch, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 1 rood.
Portion of R.S. 79, Block XI, Christchurch Survey District, City of Christchurch. (S.O. 247v, red.)

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 25396, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.
