EUREKA DRAINAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Eureka Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £1,200, authorized to be raised by the Eureka Drainage Board, under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of constructing, widening, and deepening drains within that portion of the Eureka Drainage District known as the Newstead Special Rating Area—being all that area in the Auckland Land District bounded by a line along the western boundary of Eruka Drainage District from the Waikato-Thames Railway to the junction of roads at the easternmost corner of Section 3, Newstead Estate ; thence along the road forming the southern boundaries of Sections 3, 2, and l, said Newstead Estate, and of Sections 274 and 275 in Block XV, Komakorau Survey District, and the road forming the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 276, 28l, and 282; along the south-western boundary of the said Section 282, and the road forming the north-western boundary of that section to Section 301; along the south-western and north-western boundaries of that section and the road forming the south-western boundary of Section 13 to the Waikato-Thames Railway; and along that railway to the western boundary of the Eureka Drainage District, the place of commencement—the said Eureka Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-farthings in the pound upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property classified B as set out in the Schedule hereunder, and one halfpenny in the pound upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property classified C as set out in the Schedule hereunder.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the lst day of February and the Ist day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

SCHEDULE.

Class B.—Lot 12 of the Newstead Estate, deposited plan 7346, 174 acres; Lot ll, 175 acres; Lot 8, 133 acres; Lot 9, 164 acres; part of Lot 2, 50 acres; Lot 7, 102 acres; Lot 3, 20 acres; Lot 4, 144 acres; Lot 5, 123 acres; Lot 6, 132 acres; Lot 10, 84 acres; the above being all subdivisions of the Newstead Estate. Sections 274, 275, 276, 277, 278, part 301, Kirikiriroa Parish, 300 acres.

Class C.—Allotment I of Lots 13, 14, 15, of the Newstead Estate, 104 acres; Lot 1 and part Lot 2, 30 acres; Allotments 9 and 10 of Lots 13, 14, 15, of the Newstead Estate, 204 acres; Allotment 11 of Lots 13, 14, 15, 102 acres; Allotment 2 of Lots 13, 14, 15, 102 acres; Allotment 12 of Lots 13, 14, 15, 102 acres; the above being all subdivisions of the Newstead Estate. Part Section 301, Kirikiriroa Parish, 300 acres.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly made and passed at a meeting of the Eureka Drainage Board held on the 24th day of December, 1917.

WESTERN TAIERI LAND DRAINAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Taieri Land Drainage Act, 1910, the Western Taieri Land Drainage Act, 1917, the Land Drainage Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Western Taieri Land Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £4,000, authorized to be raised by the Western Taieri Land Drainage Board, under the abovementioned Acts, for the purpose of reconstructing embankments destroyed by flood and pumping-works, the said Western Taieri Land Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate on all the rateable land within the Western Taieri Land Drainage District as follows, namely :—

On all lands in Class “A” : Fourpence per acre. On all lands in Class “B” : Threepence and eleven-fifteenths of a penny per acre. On all lands in Class “C” : Threepence and seven-fifteenths of a penny per acre. On all lands in Class “D” : Threepence and three-fifteenths of a penny per acre. On all lands in Class “E” : Twopence per acre. On all lands in Class “F” : One penny and one-third of a penny per acre.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the fifteenth day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I, William Ernest McLean, Clerk of the Western Taieri Land Drainage Board, hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution making a special rate passed at a meeting of the Board held this 28th day of December, 1917.

UPPER WANGAEHU ROAD BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—LOAN OF £700.—TAIHAPE-MATAROA ROAD.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Upper Wangaehu Road Board hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also other charges on a loan of £700, authorized to be raised by the Upper Wangaehu Road Board, under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of providing a portion of the Upper Wangaehu Road Board's share of the cost of constructing and reconstructing that portion of the Taihape-Mataroa Road situate in the Upper Wangaehu Road District, commencing at the northern boundary of the Rangitikei County, and proceeding thence in a north-westerly direction and then westerly direction generally to its junction with the Mataroa and Murray Track Roads, the said Upper Wangaehu Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighth of a penny (Id.) in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property within the Upper Wangaehu Road District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until such loan is paid off.

I, Peder Pedersen, Chairman of the Upper Wangaehu Road Board, do hereby certify that the above is a true copy of the resolution passed at a special meeting of the Upper Wangaehu Road Board held on the 19th day of December, 1917.

The common seal of the Chairman, Members, and Inhabitants of the Upper Wangaehu Road District was affixed hereto this 3lst day of December, 1917.
