RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.—LOAN OF £225.—BAGGETT’S ROAD.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £225, authorized to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of forming and bridging and metalling (in part) Baggett’s Road, and the cost of raising the loan to be paid out of the loan, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny (1d.) in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all the rateable property of the Baggett’s Road Special Rating District, comprising Rakautaua Blocks 3A and 3C (138 acres 1 r. 18 p.); 3B (41 acres 1 r. 12 p.); and part 1A No. 2B (5 acres), in Block XIV, Ikitara Survey District: as the said special rating district is more particularly shown upon the map annexed to the ratepayers’ consent to the said loan, and thereon bordered red.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I, Bennet Perry Lethbridge, Chairman of the Rangitikei County Council, do hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed at a special meeting of the Rangitikei County Council held on the 2nd day of March, 1918.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Rangitikei was hereunto affixed this 2nd day of March, 1918, in the presence of—

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.—LOAN OF £240.—WILLIAMSON ROAD.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £240, authorized to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of metalling about 60 chains of the Williamson Road (portion not previously metalled), and the cost of raising the loan to be paid out of the loan, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven-thirteenths of a penny (7/13d.) in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Williamson No. 3 Special Rating District, comprising parts Section 25 (78 acres and 34·5 perches occupied by R. E. Beckett, and 78 acres and 34·5 perches occupied by G. J. Wilhelm), and part Section 24 (226 acres 2 r. 35 p. occupied by Charles Coleman), Rangitikei Agricultural Reserve, in Block II, Rangitoto Survey District; as the said special rating district is more particularly shown upon the plan annexed to the ratepayers’ consent to the said loan, and thereon bordered red.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Extract from the Minutes of Proceedings of the Waitomo County Council at a Meeting of such Council held on 21st February, 1918, at 11 a.m.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Waitomo County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of one hundred and seventy-five pounds (£175), being 10 per cent. on the original Mairoa South Loan, authorized to be raised by the Waitomo County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing proposals in connection with the expenditure of the original loan—viz., reforming, metalling, and culverting the Mairoa South Road, and portion of the Kihikihi Road—the said Waitomo County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighth of a penny in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property within the Mairoa South Special Rating Area, comprising the boundaries of the Mairoa South Special Rating Area as gazetted in connection with the original loan.

Such rate shall be an annually recurring rate, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of (36½) thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waitomo was hereto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Waitomo County Council, in the presence of—

NAPIER BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1917, the Napier Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £27,500, authorized to be raised by the Napier Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of electric lighting, the purchase of motor engines, with equipment and building for same, and the repayment of an existing overdraft of £5,500 incurred in the construction and installation of new works for electric lighting and power and electric tramways, the said Napier Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirty-one one-hundredths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Napier, comprising the whole of the Borough of Napier.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or thereabouts—that is to say, until the 30th day of June, 1944—or until the loan is fully paid off.

We hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Napier Borough Council held on the 15th day of February, 1918.
