Settlement Land set apart for Disposal by Way of Sale or Lease to Discharged Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the Southland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

I N pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of settlement land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers, under special tenures, in the manner provided in the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SETTLEMENT LAND.

SECTION 40, Block VIII, Invercargill Hundred, and Section 15, Plan 115, Woodlands Estate: Total area, 101 acres 1 rood 30 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this eleventh day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

Land set apart for State-forest Purposes in the Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

B Y virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the State Forests Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby set apart the forest land described in the Schedule hereto, forming part of the Crown lands in New Zealand, as and for a State forest within the provisions of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing 8,186 acres, more or less, situated in Blocks VI and VII, Aroha, and Blocks III and VII, Katikati Survey Districts. Bounded, commencing at the junction of Waitawheta Stream and Bluff Creek, towards the north by aforesaid Bluff Creek, to the eastern boundary of Section 2, Block VI, Aroha Survey District (Maungawhia Tapu); thence by a right line due east for a distance of 190 chains; towards the east by a right line due south to the southern boundary of Block VII, Katikati Survey District; towards the south by the southern boundary of the last-mentioned block; and towards the west generally by Sections 40, 37, 35, 33D, 33C, 31A, 30, 29, 28, and 1, Block XII, Aroha Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; thence by a right line to the source of the Waipapa Stream, and by that stream and the Waitawheta Stream to the point of commencement: save and except portions of a reservation two chains wide along the Waihi Gold-Mining Company’s electric transmission-line intersecting the hereinbefore-described area. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/1432/5, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

A PROCLAMATION.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consent of the lessee of the land described in the Schedule hereto, and of the Kawhia County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land described in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road: 4 acres 3 roods 23 perches.

Portion of Section 7, Block XI, Kawhia North Survey District.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/283, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
