Regulations for Deer-shooting, Buller.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby make the following regulations prescribing the deer-shooting season in the Buller Acclimatization District, comprising the County of Buller, and the conditions affecting the same, and also the form of license and the fee payable therefor.

REGULATIONS.

1. RED-DEER stags may be taken or killed within the Buller Acclimatization District from the 1st March, 1918, to the 30th April, 1918 (both days inclusive).

2. Licenses to take or kill such deer may be issued by the Chief Postmaster at Westport, on payment of a license fee of £1, in the form prescribed in the Schedule hereto, and subject to the said Act and these regulations; provided that not more than one such license shall be issued to the same person.

3. No licensee shall take or kill more than three stags, and no stag shall be killed carrying antlers with less than eight points.

4. No hind or fawn shall be taken or killed on any pretext whatever; and no licensee shall allow any dog to accompany either himself or any attendant he may have with him.

5. Nothing herein contained shall extend to authorizing any person to sell any deer or portion thereof.

6. Regulations as to deer “tags,” per New Zealand Gazette No. 40, Vol. I, of 20th May, 1909, page 1408, shall be strictly adhered to by each licensee, who, in addition thereto, shall return all unused “tags” to the secretary of the Buller Acclimatization Society, Westport, immediately he has finished stalking for the season for which such tags have been issued, together with a statement of the number of deer shot.

7. Any person committing a breach of any of these regulations shall be liable, on conviction, to a fine not exceeding £20.

Regulations for Deer-shooting, Grey District.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby make the following regulations prescribing the deer-shooting season in the Grey District Acclimatization District, comprising the County of Grey, and the conditions affecting the same, and also the form of license and the fee payable therefor.

REGULATIONS.

1. FALLOW-DEER bucks may be taken or killed within the Grey District Acclimatization District from the 28th day of March, 1918, to the 27th day of May, 1918, both days inclusive.

2. Licenses to take or kill such deer may be issued by the Chief Postmaster at Greymouth, on payment of a license fee of £2, in the form prescribed in the Schedule hereto, and subject to the said Act and these regulations. The number of such licenses shall not exceed fifteen; provided that not more than one such license shall be issued to the same person.

3. No licensee shall take or kill more than four bucks, and no buck shall be killed carrying antlers with less than four points.

4. No doe or fawn shall be taken or killed on any pretext whatever; and no licensee shall allow any dog to accompany either himself or any attendant he may have with him.

5. Nothing herein contained shall extend to authorizing any person to sell any deer or portion thereof.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby make the following regulations prescribing the deer-shooting season in the Hawke’s Bay Acclimatization District, comprising the Counties of Hawke’s Bay, Patangata, Woodville, Waipawa, Dannevirke, Waipukurau, and Weber, and part of the County of Wairoa, and the conditions affecting the same, and also the form of license and the fee payable therefor.

REGULATIONS.

1. RED deer (stags only) may be taken or killed within the Hawke’s Bay Acclimatization District from the 25th day of March, 1918, to the 30th day of April, 1918 (both days inclusive).

2. Licenses to take or kill such deer may be issued by the Chief Postmaster at Napier, on payment of a license fee of £3, in the form prescribed in the Schedule hereto, and subject to the said Act and these regulations; provided that not more than one such license shall be issued to the same person.

3. No licensee shall take or kill more than three stags, and no stag shall be killed carrying antlers with less than ten points.

4. No hind or fawn shall be taken or killed on any pretext whatever; and no licensee shall allow any dog to accompany either himself or any attendant he may have with him.

5. Nothing herein contained shall extend to authorizing any person to sell any deer or portion thereof.
