Mining Privileges to be struck off the Register.—Notice under the Mining Act, 1908, and the Mining Act Amendment Act, 1914.

NOTICE is hereby given that at the expiration of three months from this date the mining privileges mentioned in the Schedule hereto will, unless cause to the contrary is shown, be struck off the Register.

MERCURY BAY WHARF, WHITIANGA.

THE Coromandel County Council have notified that on and after Monday, 4th March, 1918, a red light will be shown from the end of Mercury Bay Wharf, Whitianga, when vessels are expected.

KAIPARA HARBOUR.—SIGNAL-STAFF UNDER REPAIR.

Wellington, N.Z., 18th February, 1918.
NOTICE is hereby given that extensive repairs are now being carried out at the signal-station at North Head, Kaipara Harbour. The balls and semaphore signals cannot be used to guide ships over the bar.
All bar signals will be made from above date and until further notice by the international code of signals shown from the lower mast of the signal-staff.

PICTON HARBOUR.—WHARF LIGHT.
Marine Department,
Wellington, N.Z., 19th February, 1918.
NOTICE is hereby given that an electric light has been installed on the Railway Wharf at Picton Harbour, and vessels will now be signalled to their berth by a red or green light shown from the same post as the fixed red light on the end of the wharf. The red light will indicate that the birth is on the west side of the wharf and the green light on the east side.
The red and green lights will be shown 3 ft. below the fixed red light, and 3 ft. on each side of the post.
