Zealand, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule
hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1908, and
that such land may be administered and disposed of under
that Act accordingly.

at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian
Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-
Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of
New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued
under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the
Government House at Wellington, this eighth day

Land in Block II, Maketu Survey District, taken for a
Road-diversion in connection with a Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under the Public Works
Act, 1908, for the purpose of a road-diversion in connection
with the East Coast Main Trunk Railway (Maunganui-
Bluff—Te Puke Section) :
And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law
to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such
land for the purposes hereinafter specified have been
observed and performed :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities conferred on me by the Public Works Act, 1908,
and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling
me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for
the purposes of a road-diversion in connection with the East
Coast Main Trunk Railway (Maunganui—Bluff—Te Puke
Section).

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 16·64 perches.
Portion of Section W. 21 (Te Puke Township), Block II,
Maketu Survey District. (S.O. 19867.)

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 43610,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works
at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured pink.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian
Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-

Branch of the Kaipara-Waikato Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS part of the land mentioned in the First
Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a
further portion of the Huntly-Awaroa Branch of the
Kaipara-Waikato Railway :
And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law
to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such
land for the purposes hereinafter specified have been
observed and performed :
And whereas it is desirable to take only the surface of
such land for the purposes hereinafter specified, together
with a portion of the subsoil thereof :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities conferred on me by section one hundred and
eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and section
seven of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, and of
every other power and authority in anywise enabling me
in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
surface of the land mentioned in the First Schedule hereto,
together with that part of the subsoil of such land below
the formation-levels of the said railway shown on the plan
marked P.W.D. 42960, deposited in the office of the
Minister of Public Works at Wellington, as is described in
the Second Schedule hereto, is hereby taken for a further
portion of the aforesaid line of railway.

FIRST SCHEDULE.
THE pieces of land mentioned in the list hereunder of
which surface is taken :—

0 3 15, part Lot 8 of Allotment 206; coloured purple.
5 3 14 Lot 10 of Allot. 166; coloured purple.
3 0 2, part Lot 5 of Lot 10 of Allot. 166; coloured pink.

Situated in Pepepe Parish, Block I, Newcastle Survey
District. (S.O. 19675.)
In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 42960
(sheet 2), deposited in the office of the Minister of Public
Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and
thereon coloured as above mentioned.

SECOND SCHEDULE.
SUBSOIL TAKEN.

As to all the areas mentioned in the First Schedule : All the
subsoil down to a plane 100ft. below and approximately
parallel to the said line of formation-levels, such plane being
horizontal transversely to the said line of formation-levels.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under the Public Works
Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the pur-
poses of a road in Block XIV, Chatton Survey District :
And whereas an agreement has been entered into, in
terms of section twenty-seven of the said Act, to take such
land for the public work hereinafter set forth :
And whereas a plan has been prepared, and the Minister
has recommended the Governor-General to issue a Pro-
clamation taking the land, as required by the said Act :
