IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the two-hundred-and-twenty-fifth section of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

Commissioners to classify and report to me upon the rural land in the Marlborough Land District known as Run 108, Spray District, Run 116, Spray District, and Run 118, Tapuaenuku District, as provided by the said section two hundred and twenty-five.

being a person holding the office of Postmaster under the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, at Manaia, is authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.

Arrangements for First Election, &c., Parawera Road District.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

FREDERICK WARE, of Te Awamutu,

as Returning Officer and person to prepare the roll of ratepayers in connection with the first election of the members of the Board of the Parawera Road District as constituted under section 27 of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1916; also to appoint Wednesday, the 25th February, 1918, to be the day on which such first election shall be held; also to appoint Saturday, the 2nd March, 1918, at 12 noon, to be the time, and Mr. F. Ware’s Office, Te Awamutu, to be the place, at which the first meeting of the members of the Board so elected shall be held.
