Adjoining or passing through Section 39, Grey District, and Section 40, Fitzroy District, Block IV, Paritutu Survey District (Grey R.D.).
In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 43510, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this thirtieth day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by paragraph (c) of section one hundred and thirty-three of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor-General may, by Proclamation publicly notified, stop or alter the course of any Government road or any part thereof:
And whereas the Government road described in the Schedule hereto is no longer required for the purpose of a road:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim as stopped the road described in the Schedule hereto.

Amending Additional General Regulations under Part II of the Fisheries Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this thirtieth day of January, 1918.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twenty-third day of August, one thousand nine hundred and seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 76, of the twenty-ninth day of the same month, general regulations were made for fishing for salmon, trout, and perch:
And whereas by Order in Council dated the twenty-first day of September, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 144, of the same date, additional general regulations were made:
And whereas it is desirable to further amend the said additional regulations:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section eighty-three of the Fisheries Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke clause thirteen of the additional general regulations of the twenty-first day of September, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and doth make the following regulation in lieu thereof.

REGULATION.
- DURING the season when quinnat salmon may be taken—that is, from the 15th day of January, to the 15th day of April—any fisherman who is the owner or user of a licensed fishing-boat may fish for salmon along that part of the east coast of the South Island commencing at Cape Wanbrow and extending in a northerly direction to the mouth of the Hinds River, provided that all salmon caught shall be sold and delivered to the Officer in Charge of the Government salmon and fish packing sheds at Oamaru and Timaru at a price to be agreed upon.

Approving the Term of the License granted to the New Zealand Coal and Oil Company (Limited) by the Kaitangata Borough Council for a Tramway to connect the Company’s Collieries with the Kaitangata Railway-station.

At the Government House at Wellington, this thirtieth day of January, 1918.

WHEREAS it is provided by section sixteen of the Tramways Act, 1908, that any local authority may from time to time, on the application of any person in that behalf, grant a license to such person to lay down, construct, and maintain a private tramway on, along, or across any street or road under its control, subject to such terms and conditions as such local authority approves, provided that such tramway shall be used only in connection with and for the purposes of the business of such person, and that such business shall not be the carriage of passengers or goods for hire:
And whereas it is provided by section ten of the Tramways Amendment Act, 1910, that the license may be for such term not exceeding twenty-one years as the Governor-General in Council approves:
And whereas the New Zealand Coal and Oil Company (Limited) has made application to the Kaitangata Borough Council for a license to construct, maintain, and use a private tramway in the Borough of Kaitangata from a point near the eastern end of Bembridge Street, across Salcombe Street, along and across Bembridge Street to Eddystone Street, and southwards along Eddystone Street to a point near the southern end thereof, as shown coloured by a red line on the plan marked P.W.D. 20380, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District:
And whereas the said Council has granted such license for a term of twenty-one years from the second day of November, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen:
