Consenting to the Raising of Loans by certain Local Authorities.
LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this seventeenth day of December, 1918.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section twenty-six, subsection one, of the Appropriation Act, 1915, it is provided that, notwithstanding any Act to the contrary, it shall not be lawful or competent for any local authority or for any Harbour Board, during the present war with Germany, to borrow or contract to borrow any money (otherwise than by way of bank overdraft within the limit of its powers, if any, in that behalf), whether from the State Advances Office or from any other source whatever, and whether in pursuance of a special Act or under any other authority whatever, without the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council:
And whereas application has been made for the consent of the Governor-General in Council to enable the several local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto to borrow the loans set out in column “B” therein:
And whereas it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council should issue:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the raising of the loans hereinafter mentioned by the several local authorities set out in the Schedule hereto, provided that the rate of interest at which the loans or any of them are to be raised shall in no case produce to the lender a return exceeding five and one-quarter pounds per centum per annum. And it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Appropriation Act, 1915, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the loans hereby authorized.

Declaring Portion of the Mangapohue Road, in the Awakino County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this seventeenth day of December, 1918.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of the Mangapohue Road, in the Auckland Land District, Awakino County, commencing at the bridge over the Mangapohue Stream known as No. 1 Bridge, and proceeding thence generally in a south-easterly direction, adjoining or passing through Crown land, Kinohaku West L No. 2B, Kinohaku West N No. 2, and Sections 1A and 2, Block XI, Kawhia South Survey District, and terminating at south-eastern corner of the said Section 1A; being a distance of 3 miles 70 chains, more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 45210, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Order in Council made on the second day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the fifth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, the land described in the Schedule hereto became vested in His Majesty under the provisions of section thirty-one of the Valuation of Land Act, 1908:
And whereas it is provided by subsection three of section thirty-three of the Valuation of Land Act, 1908, that any land acquired on behalf of His Majesty under the said Act may be sold and disposed of in such manner as the Governor-General in Council directs:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section thirty-three, subsection three, of the Valuation of Land Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of that Dominion, doth hereby direct that the said land described in the Schedule hereto shall be used as a site for a post-office.
SCHEDULE.
- PART Lot 4, Section 535, City of Wellington, having a frontage to Molesworth Street of 25 ft. and a depth of 100 ft. to Wingfield Street.
- Lot 3 and part Lot 4, Section 535, City of Wellington, having a frontage of 33 ft. to Molesworth Street and a depth of 100 ft.
- Lot 2, Section 535, City of Wellington, having a frontage of 28 ft. to Molesworth Street by a depth of 100 ft.

As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 45272, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.
