Land taken for the Purposes of the Diversion of the Blackwater River, in Block VI, Tutaki Survey District.
[L.S.] LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the purposes of the diversion of the Blackwater River in Block VI, Tutaki Survey District:
And whereas an agreement has been entered into, in terms of section twenty-seven of the said Act, to take such land for the public work hereinafter set forth:
And whereas a plan has been prepared, and the Minister has recommended the Governor-General to issue a Proclamation taking the land, as required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, and being satisfied of the sufficiency of the agreement hereinbefore referred to, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the diversion of the Blackwater River; and I also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-eighth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 16 perches.
Being Section 2 of Section 18, Block VI, Tutaki Survey District (Nelson R.D.).
In the Nelson Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 44828, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Knight of Grace of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this sixteenth day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the purposes of a Public Works store and yard at Penrose, Auckland:
And whereas an agreement has been entered into, in terms of section twenty-seven of the said Act, to take such land for the public work hereinafter set forth:
And whereas a plan has been prepared, and the Minister has recommended the Governor-General to issue a Proclamation taking the land as required by the said Act:

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 45277, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged red.

Amending the Regulations under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this seventeenth day of December, 1918.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the regulations numbered four and twelve of the regulations made on the twentieth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-second day of August, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, by making the following alterations thereto:—
By omitting from Regulation No. 4 the words “the Land Board with the approval of”; by omitting the word “Board” in the fifth line of the said regulation, and substituting therefor the word “Minister.”
By omitting from Regulation No. 12 the words “Land Board with the approval of.”

Amending Rules as to Life-saving Appliances for Ships.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this seventeenth day of December, 1918.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the eighteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 107, of the twenty-first day of the same month, additional rules were made as to life-saving appliances for ships:
And whereas by Order in Council dated the eighteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 45, of the twenty-eighth day of the same month, clause three of the rules made by the hereinbefore-recited Order in Council was revoked and a new rule made in lieu thereof:
And whereas it is desirable to revoke clause three of the Order in Council of the eighteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, and to make a new rule in lieu thereof:
