And whereas the said land is no longer suitable for scenic purposes by reason of the destruction of the bush thereon:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section eight of the Scenery Preservation Amendment Act, 1910, do hereby revoke the reservation for scenic purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 13, Block X, Makotuku Survey District: Area, 1 acre 3 roods 36 perches.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Knight of Grace of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this fifteenth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

Proclaiming Native Land to be Crown Land under Section 14 of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia, that on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909, the Governor-General may issue a Proclamation that such land has become Crown land:

And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under the authority of the Native Land Act, 1909:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority so conferred upon me by section fourteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land set out in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land.

RANGITOTO-TUHUA No. 36B No. 3C No. 1 Block: Approximate area, 323 acres 0 roods 25 perches; Pakaumanu Survey District.

Declaring Land taken for a Public Work, and not required for such Public Work, to be Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it is provided by section thirty of the Public Works Act, 1908, that if it is found that any land held, taken, purchased, or acquired at any time under this or any other Act or Provincial Ordinance, or otherwise however, for any public work is not required for such public work the Governor-General may, by an Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions therein mentioned:

And whereas it is further provided by section five of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, that in the case of any land so taken, purchased, or acquired for a Government work and not required for that purpose the Governor-General may, on the recommendation of the Minister, and without complying with any other requirements of the aforesaid section thirty, by Proclamation declare such land to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1908, and thereupon the land may be administered and disposed of under that Act accordingly:

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto was taken for the purposes of a road: And whereas such road has been stopped, and it is desirable to declare the land contained therein to be Crown land:

And whereas a plan has been prepared, and the Minister has recommended the Governor-General to declare such land to be Crown land:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the above-in-part-recited Acts, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1908, and that such land may be administered and disposed of under that Act accordingly.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of stopped road declared to be Crown land: 2 acres 2 roods 29·5 perches.

Adjoining or passing through Crown land situated in Block VII, Oteramika Hundred (Southland R.D.).

In the Southland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 44960, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured green.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it is provided by section one hundred and eighty-three of the Public Works Act, 1908, that where it is found desirable for the safety or proper maintenance, or for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of any public work to protect the banks of, or to alter or divert, either wholly or partially, and either temporarily or permanently, any river, stream, or watercourse, the Governor-General may, by Proclamation publicly notified, declare that the banks of such river, stream, or watercourse shall be so
