Fixing the Maximum Wholesale and Retail Prices of Oranges and
Lemons in New Zealand.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this fifteenth day of
November, 1918.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by the
Regulation of Trade and Commerce Act, 1914, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of that Dominion, doth
hereby fix and determine, in accordance with the provisions of the
Schedule hereto, the maximum prices of oranges and lemons respectively
throughout New Zealand.

SCHEDULE.

The maximum wholesale price in New Zealand of oranges and lemons
of the best quality shall be 2½d. for each orange or lemon; and the
maximum wholesale price in New Zealand of oranges and lemons of a
quality inferior to the best quality shall be the standard wholesale price
of oranges and lemons of the same quality as on the 1st day of November,
1918, but not exceeding in any case 2½d. for each orange or lemon.
The maximum retail price in New Zealand of oranges and lemons
of the best quality shall be 3d. for each orange or lemon; and
the maximum retail price in New Zealand of oranges and lemons of a
quality inferior to the best quality shall be the standard retail price of
oranges and lemons of the same quality, as on the 1st day of November,
1918, but not exceeding in any case 3d. for each orange or lemon.
