longer be subject to such Parts of that Act, and shall be
revested in the Native owners thereof:

And whereas the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is
at present subject to Part XIV of the said Act, and is vested
in the Tokerau District Maori Land Board, which Board has
recommended that such land be no longer subject as aforesaid
and that it be revested in the Native owners:

And whereas the Governor-General is satisfied that the said
land is not subject to any lease, license, contract for sale, or
other alienation, and that no moneys are charged on the said
land or on the revenue thereof in accordance with the said
Act or under any other authority:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the
power and authority conferred upon him by section ninety-six
of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, and acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the land mentioned
in the Schedule hereto shall no longer be subject to Part XIV
of the Native Land Act, 1909, and shall be revested in the
Native owners thereof.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land, containing 1,543 acres 1 rood, more
or less, and known as Mangamuka East No. 3B Block, situated
in the Maungataniwha Survey District, in the Auckland
Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-second
day of October, 1918.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves
and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the
said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor-General may
from time to time, with respect to any public domain,
appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a
Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said
Act, control of such domain:

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the seventh
day of August, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, and
published in the New Zealand Gazette of the tenth day of
August, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, a Domain
Board was appointed to control the Makarewa Domain:

And whereas the period for which the said Board was
appointed expired on the twenty-fifth day of August, one
thousand nine hundred and eighteen:

And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a
Domain Board to control the said domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers
conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby appoint

JOHN KALLM,
FRANK WALDRON,
JAMES SOAR,
GORDON BAIRD,
CHARLES COOK, and
JOHN WILLIAM GEDNEY

as from the twenty-sixth day of August, one thousand nine
hundred and eighteen, to be the Makarewa Domain Board,
having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto
for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said
Act; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the ninth day of
November, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, at half
past seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the School-
house, Makarewa, as the place where, the first meeting of
the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

MAKAREWA DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing
by admeasurement 13 acres 0 roods 18 perches, more or less,
being Section No. 1, Block VIII, Town of Makarewa.
Bounded towards the north by Flora Road, 690 links;
towards the east by Section 2 in the said block, 1901 links;
towards the south by Section 10 in the said block, 690
links; and towards the west by Minerva Road, 1901 links;

be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same
is delineated on the plan marked L. 1094, deposited in the
Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington,
and thereon bordered red.

poses of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and
doth hereby appoint Friday, the sixth day of December,
one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, at eight o’clock
p.m., as the time when, and the Fire Brigade Station,
Fairlie, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board
shall be held.

FAIRLIE DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing
by admeasurement 29 acres 2 roods, more or less, being
reserve numbered 2755 (in red), Block VII, Tengawai
Survey District. Bounded north-eastward by the River
Opihi; south-eastward by Rural Section 35416; south-
westward by rural sections numbered 21121, 22280, and
20810; and north-westward by Annandale Road. As the
same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1134, deposited
in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at
Wellington, and thereon bordered pink.
