APPLICATIONS IN TERMS OF SECTION 341 OF THE NATIVE LAND ACT, 1909, THAT MEETINGS OF ASSEMBLED OWNERS BE SUMMONED.

54 18/325 Puketapu .. .. .. That £1,000 of the purchase-money held by the Board on behalf of the Native owners of the said land be retained for patriotic purposes. Such sum to be paid to such fund as the Natives alienating shall nominate (Te Heuheu Tukino).
55 18/341 Awarua 1d B No. 2 .. .. That the block be leased to Jessie Ruth Morrin, wife of Thomas Victor Morrin, of Otupae, Hawke’s Bay, sheep-farmer, for the term of twenty-one years from the 1st day of March, 1919, at a yearly rental equal to 5 per cent. on the present Government capital value thereof for the first ten years of the said term, and at a yearly rental equal to 5 per cent. on the Government capital value (less the value of all improvements effected by the lessee on the said block) as on the 1st day of March, 1929, for the balance of the said term (Carlile, McLean, Scannell, and Wood).
56 18/345 Ohotu 5b .. .. .. That an offer by the Crown to purchase the land or any part thereof shall be accepted (Hon. the Native Minister).
57 18/347 Te Reureu No. 2c .. .. That the block be leased to Caroline Gertrude Thompson for fifty years at a rental of £1 per acre for the first twenty-five years, and 5 per centum on the unimproved value for the remainder of the term, full compensation to be allowed for all improvements (Broadfoot and Finlay).
58 18/348 ,, No. 2c .. .. Ditto.
59 18/360 Wairoro No. 2 .. .. That the said land be sold to Pahau Waitere, of Turakina, an aboriginal Native, at the present Government valuation thereof (Treadwell, Gordon, and Brodie).

Meeting of the Aotea District Maori Land Board.

Wanganui, 8th October, 1918.

NOTICE is hereby given that the matters mentioned in the Schedule hereunder written will be considered at a meeting of the Aotea District Maori Land Board to be held at Wanganui on Tuesday, the 29th day of October, 1918, at 10.30 a.m.

That the said land be leased to Rose Ellena Punch, of Raetibi, spinster, for the term of forty-two years, at the yearly rental of £5 per centum of the Government valuation of the said land, but not to be less than 2s. per acre, for the first twenty-one years, and at the yearly rental of £5 per centum on the Government unimproved value for the remaining twenty-one years (Treadwell, Gordon, and Brodie).
61 18/192 ,, 7A .. .. That the block of land known as Waharangi 7A, containing 913 acres, be leased to Tuirirangi te Koau, of Pipiriki, aboriginal Native, for the term of forty-two years, at the yearly rental for the first twenty-one years of the said term of 2s. per acre, and at the yearly rental for the remaining twenty-one years of the said term at a rental equivalent to 5 per cent. upon the unimproved value of the said land at the commencement of such second period of twenty-one years (Currie and Jack).

Hearing of Application for Confirmation in the Chatham Islands.

Wellington, 16th October, 1918.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Stipendiary Magistrate exercising jurisdiction at the Chatham Islands, acting in pursuance of section 89 of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, will consider the matter mentioned in the Schedule hereunder, at Waitangi, Chatham Islands, on Thursday, 31st October, 1918, at 10.30 a.m., or as soon thereafter as the business of the Magistrate will permit.
