WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres, more or less, being Reserve 698, Block II, Brunner Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Kopara Road, 775·7 links; towards the south-east by Section 2882, 822·7 links; towards the south-west by Section 1 of Square 189, 1057·8 links; and towards the north-west by a public road, 165·3 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/125, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red. For a site for a public school.

Registrar of High Court, &c., of Cook Islands appointed.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

PURSUANT to the authority vested in me by the Cook Islands Act, 1915, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

STEPHEN SAVAGE

to be a Registrar of the High Court of the Cook Islands, and also to be a Registrar of the Native Land Court of the Cook Islands, as from the twenty-fourth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, vice F. Mitchell.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this seventeenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

Nomination and Appointment of Members of the Island Council of Niue, Cook Islands.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

PURSUANT to the authority vested in me by section sixty-five of the Cook Islands Act, 1915, and by an Order in Council of the twenty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, providing for the constitution of Island Councils in the Cook Islands, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the appointment of the present members of the Island Council of Niue, and in lieu thereof do hereby nominate and appoint the following persons as members of the said Island Council of Niue, to hold office during my pleasure, in accordance with the provisions of the said Order in Council, that is to say:—

Uea. Maletau.
Hamoa Vakaimotu. Folitau Lopi.
Matiu. Galiki.
Vila. Kigatoa Tione Lupo.
Niutama Mitipelo. Pitevalu.
Falaile.

And I do hereby declare that such revocation and appointment shall take effect on the first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this twenty-seventh day of September, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

Postmasters appointed to take and receive Statutory Declarations.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons set out in the Schedule hereto, being persons holding the office of Postmaster under the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, at the places set opposite their names in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.
