Land taken for a Portion of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway (Napier Northwards), portion of Eskdale Section, and for a Road-diversion in connection therewith.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a portion of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway (Napier Northwards), portion of Eskdale Section, and for a road-diversion in connection therewith:

And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a portion of the said line of railway hereinbefore specified and for the road-diversion in connection therewith as aforesaid.

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 42451, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Knight of Grace of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this fourteenth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

Land taken for the Purposes of a Pleasure-ground in the Borough of New Plymouth.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the purposes of a pleasure-ground in the Borough of New Plymouth:

And whereas the New Plymouth Borough Council has laid before the Governor-General a memorial, accompanied by a map (in duplicate), and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the said pleasure-ground, and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of New Plymouth as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the seventh day of November, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 2 acres 3 roods 24 perches.

Being N.R. 15, situated in the Borough of New Plymouth (New Plymouth R.D.).

In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 44935, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged pink.

Amending Regulations under the Stamp Duties Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this fifteenth day of October, 1918.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Order in Council bearing date the eighth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the thirteenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety, regulations were made under the provisions of the Stamp Act, 1882, providing for the payment of certain duties, fees, fines, and penalties by means of stamps: And whereas it is expedient to amend such regulations in the manner hereinafter set forth:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Stamp Duties Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the additional regulation set forth in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby notify and declare that such additional regulation shall form part of the said recited regulations of the
