work and not required for that purpose the Governor-General may, on the recommendation of the Minister, and without complying with any other requirements of the aforesaid section thirty, by Proclamation declare such land to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1908, and thereupon the land may be administered and disposed of under that Act accordingly:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto was taken for the purposes of a road: And whereas such road has been stopped, and it is desirable to declare the land contained therein to be Crown land:
And whereas a plan has been prepared, and the Minister has recommended the Governor-General to declare such land to be Crown land:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the above-in-part-recited Acts, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1908, and that such land may be administered and disposed of under that Act accordingly.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of stopped road declared to be Crown land: 29 acres 1 rood 20 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Run 583, Tiger Hill and Manor Survey Districts.
In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 44769, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this seventh day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

Land taken for the Use, Convenience, or Enjoyment of a Road in Block I, Mangatu Survey District, Waikohu County.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of a road in Block I, Mangatu Survey District, Waikohu County:
And whereas the Waikohu County Council has laid before the Governor-General a memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section twenty-nine of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of the said road; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the first day of November, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

Portion of Lot 1 of Subdivision 10, Mangatu No. 1 Block, Block I, Mangatu Survey District (Poverty Bay R.D.).
In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 44919, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged pink.

Land taken for the Purposes of a Street in the City of Auckland.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the purposes of a street in the City of Auckland:
And whereas the Auckland City Council has entered into an agreement with the owner of the land described in the Schedule hereto, to take such land for the public work hereinafter set forth:
And whereas the Auckland City Council has laid before the Governor-General a memorial, accompanied by a map (in duplicate), as required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, and being satisfied of the sufficiency of the said agreement, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the said street, and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the first day of November, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.
