Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby lay out and take as a road the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 6 acres 0 roods 8·2 perches.
Portion of Kuaotunu No. 6c 2a Block, situated in Block VII, Otama Survey District.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/583, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this thirteenth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

Crown Land set apart for the Purposes of a Road in Block XIII, Culverden Survey District.

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is Crown land, and is required to be set apart for the purposes of a road in Block XIII, Culverden Survey District:

And whereas by section twenty-one of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is enacted that whenever any Crown land is required to be set apart for any public work the Governor-General may at any time by Proclamation set the same apart for such public work, without complying with any of the provisions of that Act in respect to the taking or setting-apart of other lands for such purpose:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for the purposes of a road; and I also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-eighth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Crown land set apart: 2 acres 1 rood 32 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Crown land formerly part of Reserve 3421, Block XIII, Culverden Survey District.

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 44500, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twelfth day of September, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

Proclaiming a Road-line laid out through Mokau-Mohakatino 1d No. 2 and 1e No. 2a Blocks, and Umukaimata 3b No. 1 Block, to be a Public Road.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was, by an order of the Native Land Court made on the ninth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, duly laid off as a road-line, in pursuance of sections forty-nine, fifty, and fifty-two of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913:

And whereas the said Court is of the opinion that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road, and a notification to that effect has been forwarded to the Minister of Lands, in terms of section fifty-one of the said Act:

And whereas one month’s notice in writing of the intention to proclaim the said road-line as a public road has been given by the Surveyor-General to the local authority of the district concerned, in terms of section fifteen of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1914:

And whereas it is now expedient that the said road-line should be proclaimed as a public road:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by sections forty-nine, fifty, and fifty-two of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, and in so far as each of these sections is applicable, do hereby proclaim as a public road the road-line described in the Schedule hereto.

Declaring Land taken for a Public Work, and not required for such Public Work, to be Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it is provided by section thirty of the Public Works Act, 1908, that if it is found that any land held, taken, purchased, or acquired at any time under this or any other Act or Provincial Ordinance, or otherwise howsoever, for any public work is not required for such public work the Governor-General may, by an Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions therein mentioned:

And whereas it is further provided by section five of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, that in the case of any land so taken, purchased, or acquired for a Government work and not required for that purpose the Governor-General may, on the recommendation of the Minister, and without complying with any other requirements of the aforesaid section thirty, by Proclamation declare such land to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1908, and thereupon the land may be administered and disposed of under that Act accordingly:
