WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE ON A LOAN OF £1,250.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Waitomo County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of one thousand two hundred and fifty pounds (£1,250), authorized to be raised by the Waitomo County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of re-forming, culverting, and metalling about 2½ miles of the Otorohanga—Pirongia Road from the terminus of the present metal to the top of Paulsen’s Hill, the said Waitomo County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and one-eighth of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Otorohanga—Pirongia Special-rating Area No. 2, being bounded as follows:—
Commencing at the Waipa River at the south-east boundary of Section 4, Block XVI, Pirongia Survey District; thence along the southern boundary of the said section to the Otorohanga—Pirongia Road; thence along the Otorohanga—Pirongia Road in a southerly direction to the south-east corner of Section 7; thence along the southern boundary of Section 7, the eastern boundary of Section 6; to the north-eastern boundary of Maungarangi No. 2B; thence along the north-eastern boundary and the southern boundary of the said section, all of Block XVI, Pirongia Survey District, to the eastern boundary of Turoto C No. 2; thence along the eastern boundary of Turoto C No. 2 in a southerly direction to the north-east boundary of Waiwhatawhata No. 4; thence along the north-eastern and the eastern boundary of the said section to the north-west corner of Section 5, Block III, Orahiri Survey District; thence along the northern and eastern boundaries of the said section in an easterly direction along the northern boundaries of Sections 7 and 8, and the eastern boundary of Section 8, to the north-west corner of Otorohanga Q No. 2; thence along the northern boundary of the said section to the Waipa River in a northerly direction to the starting-point.
And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

FRESHFIELD DRAINAGE BOARD.
RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Freshfield Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a supplementary loan of £150, authorized to be raised by the Freshfield Drainage Board, under section 18 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of completing unfinished drains in the Freshfield Drainage District, being ten per cent. of the original loan of £1,500 authorized to be raised by the said Freshfield Drainage Board for drainage purposes in the Freshfield Drainage District, the aforesaid Freshfield Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/12 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property classified A as set out in the Schedule hereunder, 1/16 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property classified B as set out in the Schedule hereunder, and 1/24 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property classified C as set out in the Schedule hereunder; and such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

PIAKO COUNTY.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Piako County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,250, authorized to be raised by the Piako County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling the Cussins and Whakahongi Roads in the Waitoa Riding of the Piako County, the said Piako County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and one-fifth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property of the Cussins and Whakahongi Roads Special-rating Area, comprising all that area in the Land District of Auckland, in Blocks III, IV, VII, and VIII of the Maungakawa Survey District, bounded commencing at a point on the Waiharakeke Stream at the northern boundary of Te Karamu B; towards the north by such northern boundary to the south-western boundary of Tatua Haua No. 1, Lot 1, and along such boundary to the Thames—Waikato Road, which along in a north-easterly direction to the northern corner of Lot 9, Te Kahia, and by the eastern boundary of this lot to the northern boundary of Lot 8, Te Kahia, which along and along the northern boundary of Section 1 of Lot 6, Te Kahia, to the eastern boundary thereof, and along same to the Pourewa Block, and along the northern boundary thereof to the Waitoa River; towards the north-east by such river to the Waiorongomai—Maungakawa Road; towards the south by such road to the Kerehoni Block, and along the eastern boundary of this block for a distance of 100 chains; thence towards the south by a line due west to the Waiorongomai—Maungakawa Road aforesaid, which along to a point opposite and across such road to the south-western boundary of Lot 9 of the Whakahongi Subdivision, and along such to Lot 8 of the said subdivision; towards the south-east by the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 8 and 16 of the said subdivision to the Waiharakeke Stream; and towards the south-west generally by the said stream and by the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 5 and 4 of a subdivision of part Maungatapu, and by the south-western boundary of Sections 4, 3, 2, and 1 of this subdivision, and by the north-western boundary of Section 1 again to the stream, which along to the point of commencement.
And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of April and the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Piako County Council held on the 21st day of January, 1918.
