TAUMARUNUI RACING CLUB.
REGULATIONS.
(Under the Gaming Act, 1908.)
AT a special meeting of the Taumarunui Racing Club held on Wednesday, 29th August, 1917, the following resolution was proposed by the President, Mr. G. S. Steadman:—
That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf contained in section 33 of the Gaming Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities it enabling in that behalf, the Taumarunui Racing Club, a racing club within the meaning of the said Act (hereinafter referred to as “the club”), doth hereby make the following regulations controlling the admission of persons to that piece of land situate in the Land District of Wellington described as Section Two (2), Block Two (2), Hunua Survey District, and known as the Taumarunui Racecourse, while the said racecourse is used or occupied by the said club for race meetings:—

In these regulations the words “bookmaker,” “racing club,” and “race meetings” shall have the meanings ascribed to those terms by section 2 of the Gaming Act, 1908.

The following persons shall be and hereby are excluded from the racecourse above described while the same is used or occupied by the said club for a race meeting, namely,—
(a.) Bookmakers.
(b.) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any racing club in the Dominion of New Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or elsewhere, if affiliated to the New Zealand Racing Conference.
(c.) Common prostitutes, and persons who habitually consort with thieves or with persons who have no lawful visible means of support.
It was seconded by Mr. Hayward, and carried.
