ERRATA.—In the Schedule to the Proclamation taking Land for the Purposes of a Native School in Block XVI, Mangaoporo Survey District, published in Gazette No. 5, page 148, of 17th January, 1918, for “ Hawke’s Bay R.D.” read “ Poverty Bay R.D.”

In the Order in Council declaring Portions of Roads in Blocks VI, Cairnhill, and VI, Tigerhill Districts, to be Government Roads, published in the Gazette No. 172, page 4347, of 29th November, 1917, for “ Block VI, Cairnhill ” read “ Block IV, Cairnhill.”

In the Proclamation stopping Government Roads in Blocks VI, Cairnhill, and VI, Tigerhill Districts, published in Gazette No. 179, page 4488, of 13th December, 1917, for “ Block VI, Cairnhill ” read “ Block IV, Cairnhill.”

In the Proclamation declaring Land taken for a Public Work, and not required for such Public Work, to be Crown Land, published in Gazette No. 3, pages 11 and 12, of 10th January, 1918, for “ Block VI, Cairnhill ” read “ Block IV, Cairnhill.”

In Proclamation published in Gazette of the 10th January, 1918, page 8, setting apart Lands in Canterbury Land District under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, for “ Section 17, Block XVI, Opawa Survey District,” read “ Lot 17 on D.P. 3326, Blocks XII and XVI, Opawa Survey District.”

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it is enacted by the Town Boards Act, 1908, that the Governor-General may declare that any locality outside a borough wherein there are not less than fifty householders shall be a town district :

And whereas a petition has been presented to the Governor-General by the inhabitants within the area mentioned and described in the said petition, praying that such area may be constituted a town district under the Town Boards Act, 1908 :

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the Town Boards Act, 1908, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area described in the Schedule hereto, being the locality defined in the said petition, shall be a town district, and the same is hereby constituted a town district, under the Town Boards Act, 1908, by the name of the Ohura Town District. And, in further pursuance and exercise of the said powers, I do hereby proclaim, declare, and appoint that the Board of Commissioners for the said district shall consist of five members.

SCHEDULE.

OHURA TOWN DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the southern side of the Mangaroa–Tongaporutu Road at the north-eastern corner of Section 2, Block V, Ohura Survey District; thence along the boundary between Sections 2 and 3 to the Mangaparare Road, across that road, and along the Mangaparare Stream to the point where it crosses the road forming the south-western boundary of Ohura Suburban Section 7; thence along a right line south-easterly across Section 9, Block V, aforesaid, and across the railway reserve to the southern-most corner of Suburban Section 30; thence easterly across Section 7, Block V aforesaid, and across the Ohura Road to iron pipe CLVI; thence along a right line north-easterly to a point on the right bank of the Mangaroa River, being the southernmost point of the southern bend of that river in the western part of Mangaroa B No. 2b Block, about eighteen chains east of Ohura Road and fifteen chains south of Huia Road; thence across the said river and along its left bank to Huia Road; thence north-easterly to an angle of that road about 150 links from the left bank of the said Mangaroa River, thence along a right line north-westerly bearing 327° intersecting Mangaroa B No. 2c Block, and across the Ohura Road to and across the Waitewhena Stream, along the right bank of that stream to and along the left bank of the Mangakara Stream to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 2, Block V aforesaid, and thence by a right line to the north-eastern corner of that section, the place of commencement. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. S. 23/440/3, deposited at the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this sixteenth day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.
