Sale of certain Publication prohibited.
WHEREAS the sale of the publication mentioned in the Schedule hereto is deemed by me to be injurious to the public interest in respect of the present war :
Now, therefore, I, Francis Henry Dillon Bell, His Majesty’s Attorney-General for the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, in pursuance of the regulations made under the War Regulations Act, 1914, on the 11th day of October, 1915, as amended by regulations made on the 18th day of June, 1918, prohibit the sale of the publication mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

IT is hereby notified, for public information, that the Wanganui County Council has, by special order, declared Cape daisy (Cryptostemma calendulacea) to be a noxious weed within the meaning of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1908, in the district under its jurisdiction.

Export of Tallow to the United States.
Customs Department,
Wellington, 25th July, 1918.
IT is notified for general information that no permits for the exportation of tallow to the United States can be granted unless the exporter is prepared to give security to the Collector of Customs, at the rate of £20 per ton, for the delivery to the Imperial Munitions Board, Ottawa, or to the Ministry of Munitions, London, of the glycerine content thereof, calculated as equal to at least 10 per cent. by weight of crude glycerine containing at least 80 per cent. of anhydrous glycerol.
The price at present fixed for crude 80 per cent. glycerine is £150 per ton, and for 88 per cent. saponification glycerine £165 per ton.

The security taken by the Collector of Customs cannot be discharged unless an officially certified certificate is produced within six months, or such longer time as the Collector may permit, that the glycerine content of the tallow in respect of which security has been taken has been duly delivered as aforesaid.

Appointment of certain Solicitors abroad with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force to be Commissioners of Oaths.
In the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Wellington District, Wellington Registry.
In the matter of the Judicature Act, 1908; and in the matter of a petition by the Adjutant-General of the New Zealand Defence Forces for the appointment of Commissioners of Oaths.
UPON reading the petition of Robert Ward Tate, Adjutant-General of the New Zealand Defence Forces, for an order appointing the undermentioned members of His Majesty’s Expeditionary Force at present on active service abroad to be Commissioners of Oaths: And upon reading the affidavits of the said Robert Ward Tate and Walter Arnold Hawkins respectively filed herein: I do order, pursuant to section 47 (1) of the Judicature Act, 1908, that the undermentioned persons, being Solicitors of the Supreme Court of New Zealand whose names are still on the Roll of Solicitors of the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Wellington, and who are now members of His Majesty’s Expeditionary Force at present on active service abroad, be and the same are hereby appointed to be and act as Commissioners of the Supreme Court of New Zealand for the purpose of administering and taking any oath, affidavit, or affirmation out of the Dominion of New Zealand, whether in any action, cause or proceeding, matter, or thing commenced or pending in the said Court or in any Court of concurrent or inferior jurisdiction in the Dominion of New Zealand, or in any proceeding, matter, or thing whatsoever within the cognizance or jurisdiction of any such Court:—
