Meetings of Hawke’s Bay Land Board.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has, in pursuance of section 48 of the Land Act, 1908, approved of meetings of the Hawke’s Bay Land Board being held during the year 1918 at the principal Land Office, Napier, at 10 o’clock a.m. on Friday, the 11th January, 8th February, 8th March, 12th April, 10th May, 14th June, 12th July, 9th August, 13th September, 11th October, 8th November, and 13th December; and at the local Lands and Survey Office, Gisborne, on Monday, 14th January, 15th April, 15th July, and 14th October.

Constitution of a Special Roading District in terms of Section 50 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913.
PURSUANT to section 50 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913, and the regulations thereunder, I, William Ferguson Massey, the Minister of Lands, do hereby, on the recommendation of the Land Board of the Wellington Land District, declare the lands referred to in the Schedule hereto to be a special district for the purposes of the said section; and such district shall be known as the Pukeatua Special Road District.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block XII, Waimea Survey District, for Road Purposes.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road in Block XII, Waimea Survey District, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Kumara, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken 1 rood 15·8 perches.
Portion of Section part 1249, Block XII, Waimea Survey District (Westland R.D.).
In the Westland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 43229 (sheet 3), deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

IT is notified for general information that the United States Government has prohibited the importation of the following goods except under license.
Licenses for importation will be granted in the United States only to recipients approved by the Government there.
Antimony and antimony ore, or any chemical extracted therefrom.
Asbestos.
Beans of all kinds.
Balata.
Burlap.
Castor seed.
Castor oil.
Cotton.
Chrome, chrome ore, or any ferro alloy or chemical extracted therefrom.
Cocoanut oil.
Cobalt, cobalt ore, or any ferro alloy or chemical extracted therefrom.
Copra.
Diamonds, industrial.
Ferro alloys, all kinds.
Flax.
Gutta-poolatong.
Gutta-percha.
Gutta-siak.
Hemp.
Hides and skins.
Jute.
Iridium.

Manganese, manganese ore, or any ferro alloys or chemical extracted therefrom.

The following goods must be consigned as shown hereunder for account of the real consignee:—
Tin, tin ore, concentrates, &c.: To the order of the American Iron and Steel Association.
Rubber, all kinds: To the order of the Rubber Association of America.
Wool (including woolled skins), jute, flax, cotton, and mica: To the order of the Textile Alliance of New York.
Diamonds: To the order of the American Diamond Committee.
Plumbago: To the order of the Plumbago Graphite Association, New York.
Tanning materials, leather, hides, and skins (other than woolled and haired skins consignable to Textile Alliance): To the order of the Tanners’ Council of America.
Lacs (all kinds): To the order of the United States Shellac Importers’ Association.
