- Nothing in these regulations shall in any manner revoke or affect any other War Regulations heretofore made and now in force relative to shipping.

Additional Regulations under the War Regulations Act, 1914.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this eleventh day of June, 1917.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
I, ARTHUR WILLIAM DE BRITO SAVILE, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby, in pursuance of the War Regulations Act, 1914, make the following additional regulations under that Act.
REGULATIONS.
- (1.) It shall not be lawful, without the permission of a Military Authority, to hoist on any flagstaff, or otherwise conspicuously display on shore in New Zealand, the white ensign or the blue ensign, whether with or without any distinguishing mark, or any flag so closely resembling the same as to be calculated to deceive; and if any flag is hoisted or displayed in contravention of this regulation every person who hoists or displays the same or permits the same to be hoisted or displayed, or is knowingly concerned in the hoisting or display of the same, shall be guilty of an offence against these regulations, and shall be liable accordingly.
(2.) Nothing in this regulation shall apply to the hoisting or display of the New Zealand Ensign. - These regulations shall be read together with and deemed part of the War Regulations of the 10th day of November, 1914.
