Revoking Notices under the War Regulations declaring certain Companies, Firms, and Persons in Japan to be Enemies.

IN pursuance of clause 20 of the War Regulations of the 3rd day of April, 1916, made under the War Regulations Act, 1914, I, Alexander Lawrence Herdman, His Majesty’s Attorney-General for the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the notices in the Gazette of the 30th June, the 6th and 19th September, the 7th October, and the 9th November, 1916, and the 5th February, the 16th March, the 27th April, and the 16th May, 1917, declaring certain companies, firms, and persons to be enemies in so far as they relate to companies, firms, and persons in Japan.

Dated this 1st day of June, 1917.

Revoking Notices under the War Regulations Act, 1914, prohibiting Correspondence.

WHEREAS by notices dated the 14th day of December, 1915, and the 7th day of March, 1916, respectively, and published in the Gazette of the 16th day of December and the 16th day of March then instant, the Postmaster-General did order that no postal packet or telegram addressed to or intended for any of the persons, firms, or companies named in the Schedules thereto should be forwarded or delivered by the Post Office or transmitted by telegraph :

And whereas it is now considered advisable to remove from the said Schedules the names of the persons, firms, or companies set out in the Schedule hereto :

Now, therefore, I, William Donald Stuart MacDonald, Acting Postmaster-General of New Zealand, do hereby, in pursuance of clause 3
