[b.] In the event of any such new apprentice as aforesaid becoming a member of the Expeditionary Force, the foregoing provisions shall apply in the same manner as if such new apprentice had been lawfully engaged otherwise than pursuant to this Order in Council.

(c.) Any apprentice as aforesaid who has (whether before or after the date of this Order) become a member of the Expeditionary Force may, on his ceasing to be a member of that Force, or on his being discharged from a camp of military training without being discharged from the Expeditionary Force, be re-employed as an apprentice by his former employer, or, with the consent of an Inspector of Factories authorized in that behalf by the Chief Inspector of Factories, by any other employer engaged in the same industry, and may continue to be so employed until the period of his apprenticeship has been completed, notwithstanding that thereby the number of apprentices employed by the employer may exceed the number that would be otherwise by law allowed.

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the transfer of the fund held by the said Tikokino Patriotic Society to the Hawke's Bay War Relief Association (Incorporated).

Transfer of Ngamoko Patriotic Society's Fund to the Hawke's Bay War Relief Association, incorporated under the War Funds Act, 1915.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twenty-first day of May, 1917.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the County Council of the Grey County having failed, through misadventure, to prepare the valuation roll of mining property in the Grey County in the month of January, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, as required by section forty-six of the Rating Act, 1908, it is expedient to extend the time for preparing the said roll as hereinbefore mentioned: And whereas by an Order in Council dated the twenty-fourth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, the time for preparation of the said roll was extended: And whereas it is expedient that the time be further extended:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in order that the purpose and intent of the said Rating Act, 1908, may have effect, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby extend the time for the preparation of the valuation roll for the Grey County under the Rating Act, 1908, until the thirty-first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen; and doth also hereby extend the time within which the valuers shall give notice of the rateable value determined by them to each occupier, so that such notices may be given on or before the first day of June, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and that objections to such valuations may be made on or before the fifteenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

Transfer of Tikokino Patriotic Society's Fund to the Hawke's Bay War Relief Association, incorporated under the War Funds Act, 1915.

His Excellency THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section thirteen of the War Funds Act, 1915 (hereinafter referred to as "the said Act"), it is provided that any person, society, or trustees (whether such society or trustees are incorporated or not) having control of any war fund may, with the consent of the Governor in Council, transfer such fund to any other society or trustees incorporated pursuant to section twelve of the said Act, to be applied by such last-mentioned society or trustees for the purposes for which such last-mentioned society or trustees were incorporated, notwithstanding that such purposes may
