Arrangements for First Election, &c., of the Kakepuku Road Board.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint
ARTHUR JOHN BRAY
to be the Returning Officer and the person to prepare the roll of ratepayers for the purposes of the first election of the five members of the Board of the Kakepuku Road District as constituted under section 27 of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act of 1916; also to appoint Monday, the 28th day of May, 1917, to be the day, and the residence of Mr. F. Potts, Te Mawhai, to be the place, at which such first election shall be held; also to appoint Saturday, the 2nd day of June, at 11.30 in the morning, to be the time, and the office of Mr. A. J. Bray, Sloane Street, Te Awamutu, to be the place, at which the first meeting of the members of the Board so elected shall be held.

Redefining Boundaries of the Borough of Bluff and the County of Southland.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 20 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1910, the boundaries of the Borough of Bluff are hereby defined as set out in the First Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the said borough having been altered by a Proclamation dated the 28th day of March, 1917, made under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 56, of the 29th day of March, 1917.
The boundaries of the County of Southland are hereby defined as set out in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
BOUNDARIES OF THE BOROUGH OF BLUFF.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District bounded towards the north by the Bluff Harbour, towards the east, south, and west by Foveaux Strait, and towards the north-west by the south-eastern boundary of Section 19, Block I, Campbelltown Hundred, produced from sea to sea.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY OF SOUTHLAND.
ALL that area bounded towards the north generally by Lake County and Vincent County respectively, as described in the First Schedule to the Counties Act, 1876, from the eastern boundary of Wallace County to the north-western corner of Tuapeka County as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 111, of the 30th December, 1882; thence towards the east generally by Tuapeka County aforesaid and Clutha County as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 8, of the 6th February, 1913, to the ocean; thence towards the south generally by the ocean to the mouth of the Waimatuku Stream; and thence towards the west generally by Wallace County as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 12, of the 4th February, 1897: excepting the Boroughs of Invercargill, South Invercargill, Winton, Gore, Mataura, Campbelltown, and the Town Districts of Wyndham and Lumsden.

Redefining Boundaries of the City of Christchurch and the County of Heathcote.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 20 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1910, the boundaries of the City of Christchurch are hereby defined as set out in the First Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the said city having been altered by Orders in Council dated the 21st day of August, 1916, and the 19th day of March, 1917 (two Orders), made under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, as amended by the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1913, published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 93, of the 31st day of August, 1916, and No. 51, of the 20th day of March, 1917.
And also, in pursuance of the said section 20 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1910, the boundaries of the County of Heathcote affected by the said Orders in Council dated the 21st day of August, 1916, and the 19th day of March, 1917, are hereby defined as set out in the Second Schedule hereto.
