Constituting the Town District of Patutahi, in the County of Cook.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it is enacted by the Town Boards Act, 1908, that the Governor may declare that any locality outside a borough wherein there are not less than fifty householders shall be a town district:

And whereas a petition has been presented to the Governor by the inhabitants within the area mentioned and described in the said petition, praying that such area may be constituted a town district under the Town Boards Act, 1908:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the Town Boards Act, 1908, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area described in the Schedule hereto, being the locality defined in the said petition, with boundaries as altered by the said Commission, shall be a town district, and the same is hereby constituted a town district, under the Town Boards Act, 1908, by the name of the Patutahi Town District. And, in further pursuance and exercise of the said powers, I do hereby proclaim, declare, and appoint that the Board of Commissioners for the said district shall consist of five members.

SCHEDULE.

PATUTAHI TOWN DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the right bank of the Whakahau Stream, being the north-eastern corner of Section 67, Block IV, Patutahi Survey District; thence along the right bank of that stream to and along the right bank of the Waipaoa River to a point in line with the eastern side of the road forming the western boundaries of Sections 78, 77, 35, and 34, Block I, Turanganui Survey District; thence to and along the eastern side of that road to the Gisborne-Wairoa Road, along the northern side of that road to the south-eastern corner of Section 48, Block IV, Patutahi Survey District;

and thence along the western side of the road forming the eastern boundaries of Sections 48, 49, and 67, Block IV aforesaid, to the place of commencement.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies: and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this eighth day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

GOD SAVE THE KING!

Declaring certain Areas added to the Counties of Kaitieke and Waimarino to be included in certain Ridings of such Counties.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the thirtieth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, the boundaries of the Counties of Kaitieke and Waimarino were altered by the inclusion in each of the said counties of a part of the other: And whereas it is desirable that the area so added to the Kaitieke County should be included in the Manganui Riding of that county, and the area added to the Waimarino County should be included in the Ruatiti Riding of that county:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section twenty-two of the Counties Act, 1908, do hereby declare that the area included as aforesaid in the Kaitieke
