and other contingencies relating thereto, the said Council of the Borough of Lower Hutt hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/12th of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Lower Hutt, comprising the whole of the said borough as constituted by Proclamation of His Excellency the Governor as published in Gazette No. 10 on the 29th day of January, 1891, at page 131; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 31st day of March and the 30th day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The common seal of the Lower Hutt Borough Council was hereto affixed on the 2nd day of May, 1917, in the presence of—

KAWA DRAINAGE BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING RATE TO PROVIDE INTEREST AND SINKING FUND ON A LOAN OF £5,000.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Kawa Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also other charges on a loan of £5,000, authorized to be raised by the Kawa Drainage Board, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for constructing, deepening, widening, straightening, and otherwise improving drains and outfalls for the drainage of the Kawa Drainage District, including the purchase of all necessary land, buildings, plant, and materials, the said Kawa Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of five farthings in the pound on the rateable value of all land in the Kawa Drainage District classed as Class “A” under section 33 of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, and of three farthings in the pound on the rateable value of all land in such district classed as Class “B” under the said section; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off, and that the cost of raising same and the first year’s interest shall be paid out of the loan.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a correct copy of a resolution passed by the Kawa Drainage Board on the first day of May, 1917.

NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between HERBERT SHAW and FREDERICK DUNCAN PAYNE, carrying on business as Builders and Contractors at Wellington and elsewhere under the style or firm of “Shaw and Payne,” has been dissolved as from the 16th day of April, 1917.
