ELTHAM COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—MATAIMAROKE BRIDGE LOAN.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Eltham County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £650, authorized to be raised by the Eltham County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of erecting a new bridge over the Mangatoromiro Stream, on Mataimaroake Road (Omona Riding), the said Eltham County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-eighths of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the special-rating area, comprising part of Matemateaonga 4 and parts 1, 4, 5, and 6, Blocks IX, X, XIII, and XIV, Omona Survey District, and Section 1, Block XIV, Omona Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The foregoing resolution was passed at a properly convened meeting of the Eltham County Council held on Saturday, 14th April, 1917.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.
SPECIAL RESOLUTION MADE ON 23RD DAY OF MARCH, 1917.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Cook County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £400, authorized to be raised by the Cook County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for metalling about 30 chains of Taurau Valley Road from centre of boundary of Sec. 4 to centre of boundary of Sec. 8, Block XII, Patutahi S.D., the said Cook County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two farthings in the £1 upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Taurau Valley Special-rating District, comprising Sections 7, 8, 9, 3A, Block XII, Patutahi Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of interest to be four pounds ten shillings per cent.
