Revoking Notice under War Regulations so far as it declares a certain Company, Firm, and Persons to be Enemies.
IN pursuance of clause 20 of the War Regulations of the 3rd day of April, 1916, under the War Regulations Act, 1914, I, Alexander Lawrence Herdman, His Majesty's Attorney-General for the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the notice dated the 9th day of May, 1916, and published in the Gazette of the same date, declaring certain companies, firms, and persons to be enemies, in so far as such notice relates to the company, firm, and persons mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the Borough of Picton, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913.

BOROUGH OF PICTON.
PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Picton taken on the 10th day of January, 1917, on the proposal of the Picton Borough Council to borrow the sum of £6,845 for the purpose of installing an electricity generating plant, and building and erecting reticulating mains to supply the residents of the borough with electricity, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 176, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 27.
I therefore declare the proposal to borrow the above-named sum to be carried.

WESTPORT HARBOUR.—DREDGING.

NOTICE is hereby given that dredging operations are now being carried out in the Buller River by the bucket dredger “Erskine,” and the work will probably continue for about six months.
The dredge is working in the fairway upriver from down end of Merchandise Wharf. She will be hauled out clear when any vessel or vessels are working to or from the wharf in the daytime, and at night-time in fair weather she will remain at her moorings about 300 ft. off the wharf.
