hundred and twelve (hereinafter termed “the said Proclamation”), and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 85, page 3300, of the twenty-first day of the same month, is not required for the purpose for which it was taken:
And whereas compensation in respect to the taking of the said portion of land has not been paid or awarded:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by the Public Works Amendment Act, 1909, and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby revoke so much of the said Proclamation as affects those pieces of land which are described in the Schedule hereto.

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 41349, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this sixteenth day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by paragraph (c) of section one hundred and thirty-three of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may, by Proclamation publicly notified, stop or alter the course of any Government road or any part thereof:
And whereas the Government road described in the Schedule hereto is no longer required for the purpose of a road:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim as stopped the road described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road hereby stopped:
7 acres 2 roods 15 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Section 6, part of Tokoroa No. 2 E.R., Block VII, Ngautuku Survey District (S.O. 19325).
In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 41426, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured green.

Authorizing the Auckland Harbour Board to reclaim Land at Mechanics’ Bay, Auckland Harbour.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this ninth day of January, 1917.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS it is provided by the one-hundred-and-fifty-eighth section of the Harbours Act, 1908 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), that where a Harbour Board is desirous of executing or constructing upon lands vested in such Board or upon lands of the Crown any harbour-works of such a nature that the same could, but for this section, only be carried out and executed under the authority of a special Act, the Board may apply to the Governor in Council for a special order, and, if the Governor in Council thinks fit, such order may be made and granted:
And whereas the Auckland Harbour Board (hereinafter called “the Board”) is desirous of reclaiming from the sea certain land at Mechanics’ Bay, in Auckland Harbour, and the said harbour-works are of such a nature as aforesaid, and the Board has applied to the Governor in Council for a special order authorizing the execution of the said harbour-works:
And whereas the conditions precedent to the granting of a special order prescribed by the said Act have been duly performed and observed, and it appears expedient that such order should be made:
And whereas it has been made to appear to the Governor in Council that the proposed work will not be or tend to the injury of navigation:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
