Addition to Regulations under the Plumbers Registration Act, 1912.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of April, 1917.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section sixteen of the Plumbers Registration Act, 1912 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following additional regulation under the said Act; and doth hereby declare that the regulation hereby made shall form part of and be read with the regulations made under the said Act on the eighteenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-first day of May then instant, and shall come into force on the twenty-sixth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

REGULATION.
THE Borough of Dargaville and the Town Districts of Upper Hutt and Ōtatau are hereby declared to be districts within which, after six months from the date of the coming into force of this regulation, all sanitary plumbing shall be done by a person registered under the said Act.

Amendments in the Regulations for the Examination and Classification of Teachers.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this second day of April, 1917.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE W. H. HERRIES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Education Act, 1914, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the amendments set out in the Schedule hereto in the regulations in force relating to the examination and classification of teachers; and doth prescribe that this Order shall come into force on the date of the first publication thereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

SCHEDULE.
TEACHERS’ EXAMINATION AND CLASSIFICATION REGULATIONS.
CLAUSES 2, 3, and 4 of these regulations are hereby deleted. Clause 5 is hereby amended by omitting all the words from “nor until” down to “charge of such a school,” and substituting the words “nor until an Inspector has certified that he shows such ability to teach as would warrant the issue of a certificate.”
Clause 57 of these regulations is hereby amended by deleting all the words from “and such list” down to “upon his certificate.”

Amending Regulations under the Cook Islands Act, 1915, for the Use, Management, and Control of the Wharf and Cargo-shed at Arutanga, in the Island of Aitutaki.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of April, 1917.

THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by the Cook Islands Act, 1915, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby, in respect of the regulations for the use, management, and control of the wharf and cargo-shed at Arutanga, in the Island of Aitutaki, made under the authority of the said Act on the nineteenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the twenty-ninth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, make the amendment set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
REGULATION No. 3 of the said regulations is hereby amended by substituting the words “shall be landed at the said wharf” for the words “may be landed at the said wharf.”

Amending Regulations under the Explosive and Dangerous Goods Act, 1908.—Amendment No. 3.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of April, 1917.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the Explosive and Dangerous Goods Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), and all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order that on and after the third day of May, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, the following regulation shall take effect for the purposes of the said Act, and shall form part of the regulations made under the said Act on the twenty-seventh day of July, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, and gazetted on the thirtieth day of July then instant.

REGULATION.
THE following additional explosives having been authorized for importation into and for manufacture, storage, and sale in New Zealand, clause 8 of the above-recited regulations is hereby amended by adding the following explosives to Division I of Class 3:—
Atlas Miners’ Friend No. 1.
Atlas Miners’ Friend No. 7.
Monogram Gelignite 42 per Cent.

Prohibiting all Private Alienation of certain Native Land.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of April, 1917.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit, for the period of one year from the date of this Order in Council, all alienations of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienations in favour of the Crown.
