Crown Lands set apart for Selection by Discharged Soldiers,
under Ordinary Tenures, in the Hawke’s Bay Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon
me by section three of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the areas of Crown
lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same
are hereby set apart for selection by discharged soldiers,
under the Land Act, 1908.

Land proclaimed as a Road in Block III, Tangitu Survey
District, Taranaki Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents of
the owner of the land described in the Schedule hereto, and
of the Waitomo County Council, being the local authority
in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a
road the land described in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a
road: 2 roods 24 perches.
Portion of Section 2, Block III, Tangitu Survey District.

In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/280,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured pink.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian
Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use,
convenience, or enjoyment of the Picton-Hurunui
Railway (Kekerangu Section) to take further land in Cape
Campbell Survey District, in addition to land previously
acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me
by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight
of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power
and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the
Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above
mentioned.

(sheet B), deposited in the office of the Minister of Public
Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District,
and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian
Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under
the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twelfth day of

Railway (Mills and Kekerangu Sections) and for Road-diversions in connection therewith.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is Crown land, and is required to be set apart for
the purposes of the Picton-Hurunui Railway (Mills and
Kekerangu Sections) and for road-diversions in connection
therewith:

And whereas by section twenty-one of the Public Works
Act, 1908, it is enacted that whenever any Crown land is
required to be set apart for any public work the Governor
may at any time by Proclamation set the same apart for
such public work, without complying with any of the provisions of that Act in respect of the taking or setting-apart
of other lands for such purpose:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in
pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested
in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other
power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in
the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for the purposes of
the said line of railway and for the road-diversions in connection therewith as aforesaid; and I also hereby declare
that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the
twenty-eighth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and
seventeen.
