CHINA.
EAST COAST.—NORTH SADDLE ISLAND LIGHT.—CHARACTERISTIC CHANGED.
The Chinese Government has given notice that on 30th December, 1916, the characteristic of North Saddle Island light would be changed to flashing white every 15 seconds. The new light is a 1st-order light, with a luminous power of 500,000 candles.
When the new light was exhibited the provisional light was discontinued.

NAVIGATORS who use the above-named tables, published by the New Zealand Marine Department, are requested to make the following corrections in Table C, page 39, of the 1911 and 1916 editions, viz. :—
Eleventh line from bottom, under latitude columns 26°, 27°, and 28°, should read 51·3°, 51·6°, and 51·8° in lieu of 50·3°, 50·6°, and 50·8°.
