conspicuous part of the works, and default has been made by the licensee in repairing or remedying the breach or breaches specified in the said notice for the following periods :—
(a.) For any breach which in the opinion of the Governor can be met by a fine, for thirty days after the service of such notice.
(b.) For any breach which in the opinion of the Governor is of such a nature as to require the revocation of this license, for ninety days after the service of such notice.

VARIATION IN CONDITIONS OF LICENSE.
The terms and conditions of this license may at any time or from time to time, at the request or with the consent in writing of the licensee, be altered by the Governor by Order in Council. -
SURRENDER OF LICENSE.
The licensee may at any time, with the consent of the Minister, surrender this license, and shall thereupon, if so required by the Minister, remove from the ground all removable equipment, machinery, buildings, poles, transmission-lines, and other plant herein authorized to be installed or provided. If the licensee fails or neglects so to remove the said plant within twelve months after being required so to do, such equipment, machinery, buildings, poles, lines, and other plant shall, without payment or compensation, vest in and become the property of the Crown. -
CHARGES FOR ELECTRIC ENERGY.
The charge for electrical energy shall not exceed 1s. per unit for lighting purposes, and 6d. per unit for motor-power, heating, or cooking purposes; provided that “lighting purposes” shall include the operation of motor generators for lighting purposes. -
THE ROUTE OF THE ELECTRIC LINES.
That route across the main road between part 1 of Section 56 and Subdivision 1, part of 20, Block VI, Waimate Survey District, Taranaki Land District, about two chains east of the bridge over the Kaupokonui River, as indicated by a brown line on the plan marked P.W.D. 39085, deposited in the office of the Minister at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington. -
SYSTEM OF SUPPLY.
The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (a) of clause 2 of the regulations.
The generating voltage shall be approximately 230 volts, between the terminals. -
DATUM TEMPERATURE.
For the purposes of calculating stresses as provided in clause 12 of the regulations, the datum temperature shall be taken as twelve degrees Fahrenheit. -
NOTICES re EXTENSIONS, ETC.
Records of results of tests (Regulation 37), and notices re commencement of work (Regulation 44) and re extensions and alterations (Regulation 49), should be sent to the Under-Secretary, Public Works Department, Wellington, and to the Telegraph Engineer of the district, or his deputy, at present stationed at Wanganui.

Portions of Roads in the Waimea County exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of February, 1917.
Present :
THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by subsection one of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is, inter alia, provided that the said section shall not apply in any case where the local authority having control of any road or street by resolution declares that the provisions thereof shall not apply to any specified road or street, or any specified part thereof, and such resolution is approved by the Governor in Council :
And whereas by subsection two of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is provided that such approval may be either absolute or subject to such conditions with respect to the building-line as the Governor, by Order in Council, thinks fit to impose :
And whereas the Waimea County Council, being the local authority having control of the portions of roads described in the Schedule hereto, has passed the following resolution—viz., “The Waimea County Council, being the local authority having control of the roads through Sections 48, 49, and along the southern boundary of Sections 6 and 7, Blocks XII and XVI, Tadmor Survey District, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to the said roads” :
And whereas it is deemed expedient that such resolution should be approved :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the said resolution.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of road, situated in the Nelson Land District, Waimea County, passing through Section 48, Block XII, and Section 49, Block XVI, Tadmor Survey District.
Also all that portion of road situated in the said land district and county adjoining the southern boundary of Sections 49, 6, and 7, Block XVI, Tadmor Survey District.
As the said portions of roads are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 41224, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

Portion of Gladstone Road, in the Borough of Richmond, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

And whereas it is deemed expedient that such resolution should be approved, subject to the condition hereinafter mentioned :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the said resolution, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on either side of the said portion of street within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that street in the Nelson Land District, Borough of Richmond, known as Gladstone Road, situated between Queen Street and Appleby Road. As the said street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 41389, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.
