The Military Service Act, 1916.—Orders to Parade.

WHEREAS the persons whose names appear in the Schedule hereto have been called up for service in the New Zealand Expeditionary Force under and by virtue of the provisions of the Military Service Act, 1916: And whereas by section 13 of the Military Service Act, 1916, every man who has been called up for service under the said Act may be required from time to time by the Commandant, by notice in the Gazette, to report at any time and place, and if he fails duly to present himself at the time and place notified he may be tried and punished under the Army Act for the offence of desertion or of absenting himself without leave, as the case may be:

Now, therefore, I, Alfred William Robin, the Commandant of the New Zealand Forces, in exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me in that behalf by the Military Service Act, 1916, do hereby require and order the several persons whose names appear in the Schedule hereto to report in person and present themselves to the Group Commander of Group No. 16 at the Defence Office situate in Alfred Street, in the Town of Milton, on the 7th day of March, 1917, at 10 a.m., for medical examination.

Dated at Wellington this 21st day of February, 1917.

The Military Service Act, 1916.—Order to Parade.
